I can see that from looking at the skill a lot of people have here, choosing a winner is going to be difficult! - I will have to ask everyone here at OcUK to vote for the winner. We will see nearer the time. :)

is the competition for an official wallpaper for the shop, or for the forums?
i only ask becuase we have a distinct mix of nice simple professional looking ones for the shop and some more complex artistic ones suited for the forums :)

This is for the forums, no plans regarding the shop as it stands at the moment.

Just be as creative as you like. :)
 
Wish I had the creativity of some of you guys, some fantastic looking wallpapers... I particularly like the carbon fibre looking one on the 2nd page.
Gonna pinch a couple of these and chuck em on slideshown wallpaper. =)
 
There are some nice ideas coming through here, but the majority look like a 'things you should never do in Photoshop' thread. Slapping bevel and emboss on everything is not the key to good design.
 
My entries:

All my own photography (shot in a forest in Prague last summer if anyone's interested :) ) No horrible cheesy stuff here - just simple, clean design. Personally I want my backgrounds to be unobtrusive but interesting at the same time. Hope you like 'em!

They are available as either single monitor or dual monitor, and at 1728x1080, 1920x1200, 2560x1600, 3456x1080, 3840x1200, 5120x1600. The single monitor versions are just 50% crops from the right side, FYI.

Enjoy :) PS. If anyone wants these at a different res just let me know. They won't go to tri-monitor though, sorry.
