Competition to win an exclusive Overclockers UK Goodie Bag!

Um, you do know that anything created by someone else has copyrights even if it is uploaded to the internet, you cant just steal someone elses wallpaper:
windows_7_power1280x720_thumb.jpg
and then someone elses text and then have the cheek to upload it.

If OCUK decided to put this on all their computers they could get sued for using other peoples work without permission.

Haha owned, shame it was quite nice. Though should have guessed because the writing at the bottom stands out hideously and is very clear the person who made the bottom was not of the same skill as the rest of it.

The logo was stolen from someone else earlier as well. It has the same distortions in it. Bring forth the banhammer!

The logo is definitely not in a great format - the jpeg being used suffers from quite a bit of compression artefacting. Hell, its even got more artefacts than my late Radeon X1900 GT from Taiwan which used to run at 90+ degrees celsius.

I spent a fair bit of time cleaning it up for my wallpaper.

rofl!! Agreed though, I saw immediately that the logo was taken from "stufflol's" wallpaper, and that the skill used for the text was definitely not the same as the person who did the background.

I'll award 100 points for great use of the clone stamp tool to get rid of the original centre / evidence of the original image though :D

I dont mean to be an armchair mod but a lot of you are using copyrighted images in your wallpapers, if OCUK want to use this wallpaper for something they cant have anything copyrighted to another company in it.

Then they're disqualified, giving everyone else a better chance. Leave them to it. :p

Well well well. Redrawn vectorised logo, then modelled and set up for lighting. Rendered in Blender. Should be a few more entries as now I have the objects all set up I can apply all manner of effects. Watch this space!

I would upload the full version, but I'm using it as my desktop.. :p
