So, that pretty much will stop you discussing deals on some of the "top" games that will launch, and I've seen plenty of times people posting deals like that..

So defending a mod because he lost his temper under trolling?, i don't remember trolling but i was banned and treated like a piece of trash. An apology would've been nice but instead as expected it's the customer/forum members fault not the people that run it :(. Many of the members were right, you will NEVER get an apology!

Yeah but look at some of the games they offer, they're all pretty low in stock.

1 copy of COD 4 so if someone mentioned an offer for COD 4 on Steam then does that mean they will get banned over 1 copy of COD 4 on the OcUK store? :confused:

I know I'm pushing it here but seems a bit of an iffy area.
 
TBH ban mention of competitors and their game stock or don't. Saying you can mention games that you don't stock is simply idiotic. Do we need to check what you sell and what you don't sell every time we make a game sale related post ?.

I personally would just stop posting info for fear of falling foul of it. Just simplify it and ban it if its that big a deal.

I don't think many will remember to cross reference what games OCUK stock and do not stock when posting a thread about any discounts when related to steam.

Yes but not a game we sell as that is direct competition.

There is no cover up, no deleted threads (moved, but now moved back) and no bans. I've told Valkie he's a prat and Ace modder doesn't make forum policy (neither do I for that, but Spie is off and I'll take the lead in his absence).

Wanting people sacked for getting some forum rage? Some perspective required I think, what kind of employer would that make OcUK?
 
Steam 4 pack game offers. Are we still allowed to do them Telescopi?

Say when the new COD comes out or what ever and Steam do one of their 4 pack deals for which means the game is cheaper per person are we allowed to start a thread to get people to group up to buy a pack together?

I'm just a little confused at the context and stuff, like if OcUK started selling Turkey Puncher 3 for the PC and it's also on Steam and Amazon, then which of the following are okay (both? neither?)

1. "I just bought Turkey Puncher 3 from Steam today, pretty good game."
2. "You can get Turkey Puncher 3 on Steam or Amazon for £23.99 at the mo'."

Plus, if OcUK didn't stock it and Steam/Amazon has it and everyone was therefore talking about where to get it, then a few weeks later OcUK started to stock it... would the "official" thread get deleted due to all the competitor mentions? do we have to start going around editing our posts?

Also what if it was out for the Xbox 360 also but OcUK only stocked the PC version, can we point people where to get it for the PC even though the place we're pointing them at has both the PC and the Xbox 360 versions?

Sorry, stupid questions are probably stupid, but just checking :P
 
Cannot understand why OCUk bother to sell games having a quick look at a few such as WOW which is still selling the BC addon which is not needed any more and Rift which can be had for 1/3rd of the price direct from the developer.

That's up to you, but I doubt a couple of days sus'd would be the end of your world if you did fall foul of the dons. Most likely just get edited out anyway unless it was a blatant 'don't buy it here lol get it here instead'.

The only trolling yesterday was BY A DON.

I don't appreciate the additional threats either, they are all getting very unnecessary.

Deleting threads to cover your own hind? Sending emails outside of the forums to say things you wouldn't normally get away with? Throwing your power and weight around like a child? It's by far the least professional thing I've seen on this forum, which is usually frequented by courteous and helpful staff.

Dunno, it is odd, but I guess you could say the reverse is OcUK is listed as a follower on their twitter page too.

I think, I don't really twit I must admit. It's probably something that will be discussed now I'm aware of it.

I don't want him sacked but i want his moderator rights REMOVED, he was way way above line. An utter disgrace as far as i'm concerned

In all this only Thundycat was thoughtful and delt with the matter with grace! :cool:
