Love some of the RA2 soundtracks, mainly hell march 2 but also some other tracks, bf1942 also has a nice soundtrack.

Favourites would be Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill 4: The Room, Oblivion, Supreme Commander, Total Annihilation.

In Oblivion the track named "atmosphere_01.mp3" in the "\Oblivion\Music\Explore\" directory gives me chills and goosebumps every time without fail; its like it came straight down from the heavens, it is that beautiful. :eek:

. In fact, the rest of the sound track is just as majestic and even though I've probably listened to it a countless number of times it never gets old.

Also, there's a track on Supreme Commander that is just as breath taking. It's the track that plays when your are on the offensive and has a sort of uplifting melody combined with an epic orchestral arrangement. Difficult to explain in words but everytime this track plays it sort of gives you a 'rush' in the gaming sense. It's just a shame GPG haven't released the soundtrack, cos I'd buy it in a heartbeat just for that track alone.

Agreed...Baldur's Gate beats all for epic type soundtrack.

Favourite opening music for me was Cannon Fodder.
