Condemned is scary

I just want to check but did anyone else find Condemned scary, i'm having problem playing it for more than ten minutes before i have to give up and pull myself back together.

I would feel much more comftable with the game if they game you a machine gun with unlimited ammo.

You've made me feel a lot more manly about myself :p

I didn't want to play this with the lights on as it would take away from the atmosphere of the game but like you I seriously could not play this game for longer than 15 minutes at a time. It actually got so bad that I'm actually reluctant to go back to it, I wouldn't mind but I barely got anywhere on it :o

That 'house' level took me two days to get through. Mainly because of the game's insane ambience especially on that level alone with the window shutters clattering away. Given that I was playing it on a good 2.1 setup, I would hate to experience it on a 5.1 setup :o

im playing it on 5.1 a meter away from my monitor. First time i started the appartment store level i got approximately 20 steps in before i panicked and turned it off :D

several months later, im probably 15 mins further in, this could be the longest game ever for me :D

Scariest game for me was Clive Barkers Undying, i was a lot younger but the ambience in that game practically had me pooing myself :o

worse how lol
Because like every other console to PC conversion it felt like it belonged on a console. Despite playing it on a powerful PC the performance of the PC version was still sketchy in comparison.

hell no i loved it. big tv, surround sound. awesome stuff

Perhaps my mates dual core, 4gb RAM and 7800GTX weren't up to it. You're right.

well you can quite easily make it crawl on an 8800gtx with soft shadows on lol

It's so scary, I sold it any got it for the PC so that I could have god mode :D

Really looking forward to the sequel, so long as the ESRB/BBFC don't butcher it :(

Not too sure about the direction they're going with the sequel tbh. From the screenies, seems like there's a tad too many 'monsters' for my liking. I quite liked fighting a load of crazed madmen.

loved condemned and by far the scariest game played couldnt play it for longer than 30 min at time tension just got to much and need to calm myself down . jumpiest bit by far is in the locker room .

Totally bricked when the guys falls out of the locker in the gym area. The last level inside the house it quite chilling too.

Great game, don't like it as much as F.E.A.R. but still a must have 360 title. Got as far as the department store, need to go back to it and finish it, need some new pants first :(

bunch of women!

Loved the game, in the dark, 5.1 on a big TV with no one in the house :D

Never find games scary, or movies. Just doesn't bother me, everyone raved on about the new Doom being scary, just no. The only time I jump in a game/movie is when they put the sound that loud the people next door hear it!

good game though :D

Condemned was superb. I think I'll have to pick it up again on the cheap, paid 50 quid for it when it was released, strangely I never felt it wasn't worth the money..? I wouldn't have said the game was scary, though there were many unsettling moments.

Clive Barker's Undying was more scary for me. I really hated it when you went past something that you were supposed to look at and you heard this eerie voice say, "seeee". That sent shivers down my spine every time.
