Condemned is scary

Brilliant game.....from the start. As you get around 75% way through it starts to get a bit gash from there on in. The beggining is great and believeable with the crack heads etc. But then adding in zombies or whatever :/
 
The problem I had with it was that it wanted to walk you through the game by the hand, telling you what equipment to use and when. You should have had to make all the discoveries with your equipment by yourself.
 
5.1 for the win on this game :D

when i first played it i was bricking it from the start with the room full of eyes, child-like maniquins (sp?) with no faces...*shudders*

then theres the whole, strafing into a new room slowely, expecting death from all sides, hearing a noise behind you (literally with 5.1) and spinning round wildly expecting to see a crazed mad man, but instead finding you just kicked a box or knocked something over

I still havent finished it yet and had it since january last year lol but i'll get round to it sometime. def one of my fav games on the 360 :)
 
I can't decide whether to get this or The Darkness. Anyone played both who can offer an opinion? I'm a big fan of horror movies and the Resident Evil games and I was going to pick up The Darkness till I read all these rave reviews of Condemned.

I'm a big Condemned fan and hated the Darkness during my first go through the game. Second and third time round I love it. As for choosing between the two its very, very hard.

The Darkness isn't scary, whilst Condemned is. Both games have superb storylines, yet Condemned doesn't have any replayability compared to the Darkness.

I know it doesn't help, but just ask yourself what you want in a game. An action fps with a good storyline? Or an action fps with a horror theme.
 
My brother is a big wuss lol.

He cant play anything! He's 20!

He cant even play Return to Castle Wolfenstein because the zombies scare him, So god help him if he tries to play Condemned. It's funny.

He says, He can't play, because every time a creature gets a jump on him, he actually jumps! And loses concentration and usually ends up dying OR turning the console off..Hahaha, and as i said..He's 20 :D

That said, I'm the opposite, I love scary games.

Surround sound, curtains drawn and lights off, being made to jump = a good game to me

no its got more melee play than shooting, think chronicles of riddick. And yes its a 360 title, also PC.
 
thanks i might look for it on the cheap, cant say i will like it or not cause ive never played that many horror themed games ,but i did like resident evil and silent hill so i will give it a go :)

You can currently get it for £13 brand new from an online games company.
