is it ?, i've got G.Skill 2GB DDR2 LA PC2-5300 (2x1GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit for now, should be fine

I just bought some OCZ 6400 XTC the dude that had them could not OC them on his BX at all, yet there running at 1:1 to now with me and oc'd on my BX!!!

Need to run 533 on 6400 stuff on the BX

Oh and BX is dead picky has spat out lots of ram but the topic has been beaten by how far it clocks and aall that. Not a topic by me but by others

So Stelly run 533 and you should be fine mate !!!

mushkin 6400 green ones
balistix 6400
elpida 5400
kingston rebadged , 3 differemt kinds 5400
twinmos rebadged 5400
and buffalo rebadged 5400



and they all clocked in my BX. so what the heck , i dont think BX is picky at all.

no without a conroe but what does this has to do with the cpu , its not IMC intel has, thats AMD

the bioses are the same so what changes with a conroe

OK CPU arrived... CPU In new asus motherboard (built it last week to get ready, replaced 830, installed the new BIOS) and turn it on nothing happens (it turns on but nothing happens (on screen) and no power usb devices. Replaced my 7950GX2 with my old card still doesn't work, ARGH!!!!

He needs help!...do you get any beeps?

I emailed Asus (Riz) and he/she read my email, but not heard anything back yet. Hopefully I'll be able to get a new BIOS chip because I'm up the proverbial brown creek without a paddle otherwise! (no 775 chip to flash it with).

did you buy a new bios chip, he told me he would do it for free if i sent my own chip to be flashed or i could buy one pre flashed for £5.

I will probably pay for one as I dont have my board yet

Same here, I just got my system in my signature before xmas, will wait until conroe/am2 are in their peak.

Such a shame though, but my system does everything I need, I guess we are just greedy
