jim, u using the ez backup for a raid 0?

i found from testing the intel controller to be better, an use the ez for seperate drives. with a stripe of 32k

still have lots of stuff to sort out on my system, (did'nt do a full re-install, and is causing a few problems),

I thought I'd try Super PI quickly @ 1M just to see what I would get, 17s, is that good ? I don't really follow all this super PI stuff :o

17s is very good for a completely unoptimised system.

I'd definitely recommend reinstalling though - you don't wanna be wondering whether you are getting the best out of the chip or not.

Yonah with 2Gb and @ 3ghz does super pi of 19 seconds!!!

You should instale again. That microsfot thing is saying you've done too many re-instals as i have nevewr had it come up only when putting it on 50 odd time and 3+ machines

Have you got an old hd that you could do a fresh windows install on? You could just use it to run a few benches, and it would tell you whether your main drive is running at optimal speeds or not (so you can avoid a full install).

I emailed Asus (Riz) and he/she read my email, but not heard anything back yet. Hopefully I'll be able to get a new BIOS chip because I'm up the proverbial brown creek without a paddle otherwise! (no 775 chip to flash it with).

I'm not jealous, honest...

I've had an email reply saying its posted to me.

Did you have to pay anything? Because when I spoke to Riz he/she said I would have to pay £3 for a reflash (me sending chip to them) and £5 for a new chip. :(

Not a huge amount of money but its the principal of it - don't really see why I should have to pay extra money to correct a motherboard that doesn't meet its advertised specification.

At first i thought I had to pay for mine but I got another e-mail asking for my address so they could send the new chip out, no mention of payment

This is a little worrying, I don't normally install intel desktop utilities but I did this time round, and when I rebooted I got this  :(

Could someone who is also running on a badaxe run Intel Desktop Utilities please for a comparison

Ignore it, it thinks the stock voltage is 2.05v

Lol, thats a real shame, same here City Link for me are excellent, I guess it just depends on the driver also, its the same driver every time who delivers the parcels to me, therefore you can have a go at your driver tomorrow when its delivered :p

This is one of the reasons why city link should be nuked off the map.

I had exactly the same a couple of weeks ago.
I rang the number on their website at around 4PM to check, and was told it was out and should be delivered (told they go late on a Friday)
When I looked at the website around 4.45 I got the 'couldn't be delivered'. (yes I was at home)

I was NOT happy, so I gave them a bell.
Got given the number of my local branch to ring, and the driver had gone home, but he had written down I have a glass door (have a few glass panes)

Anyway, the guy apologised and said they may be able to get it to me that evening if not Monday.
Door bell rang around 8PM, and I got it delivered :)
