'contaminated' fuel

Nice deduction, considering most manufacturers are being affected including prestige cars like mercs and bmw's.

He was just joking mate, no need to get funky about it.

The AA have just stated on the radio they have not had a single call out from a Ford or VW owner with regards to contaminated fuel. Spare sensors on many popular makes are now in very short supply or completely out of stock.

My VW is fine. I live in the SE and have used a few tanks of Morrisons/Tesco petrol in the last couple of weeks. Maybe just lucky though :)

I've got a Seat Leon with the VAG 1.8 20v engine. Filled up at Morrisons about a week ago. So far no probs. I don't know if the fuel would have been affected though as we're on the East Anglia/East Midlands border.

Sky News are featuring a woman who has the problems with her Ford Galaxy.

BP is expensive
Either the same price or a penny cheaper here  Shell is always on par with Tesco up the road too.

I wonder how much this is going to knock consumer confidence in the supermarkets forecourts? Could offer up some interesting pricing over the next few weeks :p

BP is 95p around here.

BP's round here (Hull) are silly prices, usually 3-5p dearer than every where else :(

However my local Esso price matches the morrisons down the road, and the nearest Shell to me usually price matches the Esso. So you can get Shell fuel for morrisons prices most of the time.

Must admit I use either the Esso or the morrisons as a rule, as it all depends on my route to / from work. But I think I may give the morrisons a miss for the next few weeks.
