Phew, I called again and spoke to someone, who might actually now be in a bit of bother for what she did ....
I quoted the information of what it states on this page:
http://support.t-mobile.co.uk/help-and-support/index?page=home&cat=PRICEPLANS
Old plans are no longer on sale to new customers but are still being used by some existing customers. If you're not on one of these plans already, you won't be able to move to one. If you can't find the details of your plan below, contact us.
At first she said the same that changing the tariff wasnt possible, but after I quoted that part a couple of times and said that according to it, old plan customers could change to another old plan, she put me on hold for a very long time, and managed to access some magic over ride thing that allowed her to change me to Flext 40 + WnW max 18 months (my tariff will be changed to it on Dec 9th).
Then I took a close look through all the old plans on that list .... Flext 40 and WnW max 18 months is not an old tariff, and is not listed ....
So I thought she had fubbared my account and given me Flext 40 + Web n Walk (normal not max), so I had to call again.
I discussed all the changes that had been made, and waited while they checked them, and it was confirmed - I have been moved onto Flext 40 and WnW MAX 18 months with £229 monthly credit (a little extra since the vat increase), and 10 Gb internet. The full price of which is £63.xx, and my discount will remain and definitely reduce it to £31.85.
I got an awesomesauce tariff that t Mobile had never ever offered, I'll be the only person in the country with it
...
The woman that made the tariff change said that it shouldnt actually have been allowed, and she would be questioned for why she did it, but it would be ok because all she has to say is that the T mobilie website said I could change to an old tariff and they have to change the wording on it.
But she gave me a magical tariff that has never actually ever been offered by T Mobile, oopsie, I hope she doesnt get into too much trouble
