I had to dissect one of those in Biology...


Looks all right though but I think anyone serving that at a candle lit table will be getting some rather worried looks.
 
Just showed my wife this. This didn't think it looked to tasty either. And I tried to explain it's just another piece of flesh like any cow or pork we eat. She didn't buy it. Oh well. I know I can't get her to try anything new. :(


I'm still not liking the liver or kidneys, though. ;)
 
I quite like heart. Usually roast them for my mother's dog and I'll steal one (lamb's).

The only things I won't eat are kidney, brain and spinal tissue. And I"m not a fan stomach. Everything else is fair game.

You can stick to your cliché meal out of a Jamie Oliver cookbook that half the nation are cooking if you want, but some girls like something a bit different and interesting :).

Jamie Oliver? I wouldn't **** on him if he was on fire let alone follow one of his recipes! :p

If a girl enjoys this meal then watch them closely afterwards, if she starts kissing and nibbling at your neck.. a stake through their heart may be needed :D

It's an organ like liver and kidneys which imho task utter rank compared to a nice bit of prime flesh.
Would you also eat lamb 'brain' or lamb testicles ? After all their organs as well!

I said muscle. Prime flesh as you call it IS muscle.

There's no convincing someone who thinks eating the muscle that pumps blood is rank while happily tucking into the muscle the blood is pumped through.

Best way with someone squeamish is to prepare it cut into pieces and tell them later. It really does taste just like any other bit of lamb and unlike other offal, has the same kind of texture as normal cuts because it is just muscle.
 
Yum yum, looks fab. Wouldn't have thought to put sage & onion with hearts, nice one.

I like the people having kittens about eating hearts. It's just a muscle, the same as a fillet steak or chicken leg, just looks different. Well worth trying the more dismissed cuts (oxtail, skirt, heats, kidneys, fries etc), they are often super cheap for what they are, and have more complex tastes and textures than a pappy limp steak from the supermarket :)

Indeed - most of these would happily eat processed & refined foods, and fast food which contains so many additives and chemicals which are 100x worse. This is good quality meat.
