Here is a nice quick and easy steak sandwich, very little preperation, maximum taste!

Ingredients:

Fillet steak
Piccolo cherry tomatoes
Rocket
Ciabatta
Vinegarrete.

Heat the oven to 200'c.

Put some olive oil in a pan, add the tomatoes and season.

In another pan add some groundnut oil and get the pan nice and hot then add your steak.

While the steak is cooking make up a quick vinegarrette, 3 parts olive to 1 part White wine vinegar and balsamic vinegar.

I cooked the steak for 4 minutes each side, when it is cook take it out of the pan to rest.

While the steak is resting toss some rocket in the vinegarette and put it on a plate, you can also add parmesan cheese to the rocket if you like.

Take the tomatoes out of the oven and plate up.

Looks a bit big to eat. I'd have sliced the fillet up after cooking (before serving) and made at least one more sandwich from that meat. :p

Could probably do with some mustard too. :p

Almost how I make them but I never use oil on steak, I let the juices do that part for me. Also, whoever said peppercorn sauce should be added to what I assume is good quality steak ... that's like adding fluffy dice to a Ferrari :/

fillet steak is one of the less flavoursome cuts of beef....its a good quality cut and tender but not necessarily the best tasting

a nice bit of stilton adds a lovley sharpness and sweetness and really complements the meat...peppercorns can over power it a bit (but then I would always well season a bit of beef so it would get a good bit of pepper anyway)

though if you were adding stilton I would take the parmesan out of the salad
