Cops shooting unarmed man

Truth be told, given he's survived the incident without serious injury, I'm sure from a cynical perspective, he's probably saying to himself, I've just won the lottery.

Indeed. I am sure he will be having a big lawsuit payout coming his way. To be honest, he would deserve it after being shot multiple times for fetching your licence after being told by a police officer to do so!

Yeh have some rolleyes back :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Why do you follow me around these forums just to pick on the semantics of my posts? Get a life mate

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

If we're 'talking' 'semantics', how does one 'get a life' exactly, 'mate'?

In fact, 'semantically' 'speaking', how does one 'follow' 'you' 'around' anyway?

You're the One aren't you mate? Can you see the Matrix?

Seriously why don't you find someone else to straw man?

My post made sense in context

I'm done.

In the video, Jones can be seen getting out of his car when Groubert pulled up and asked for his license. Jones can be seen reaching into his car for his license, and as he does, Groubert begins yelling at Jones and fires several shots.

Jones was hit by one bullet in the hip. He is recovering at home after being hospitalized for the injury.

Pretty lousy marksman. Should train more.

upon watching the video, the victim does move in a slightly unnatural way when going for his licence. kind of jerked, rushed but this was likely because he wanted to comply quickly and was under pressure.

feel sorry for him. hope he gets a 7 figure payout.

Posted this in the Michael Brown thread, even the Independent don't play the race card which is nice to see. The police officer could have killed several people with firing like that. How on earth did he miss so badly (thank God)?

I think race is brought into it by some folk in a way to highlight how drastically different people are treated by police simply because of their appearance.

In this case, it's not relevant to the incident other than from assumptions which cannot be proven, therefore should be left out not just by us but also the media, otherwise it just leads to more segregation.

However, another topic could be raised on the number of unarmed non-white males involved in officer shootings and I feel that would be a valid way of highlighting the issue. But to involve it in this case so early based on assumptions makes those as bad as they accuse the officer of being.

Assuming a murderous trigger-happy cop had racist motives is as bad as actually being a murderous trigger-happy cop who may have had racist motives?
