God, i just need to vent somewhere, this is getting REALLY annoying!

My nephew who's only 13 copies everything i do. It's really annoying. My oldest sister and her husband only have the one child, so he is spoilt rotten. Anything he want's he gets, but everything he want's is stuff he's seen me do or buy. Only if they buy something it HAS to be better than what i have. I could go on for ages and make a list of things, but these are the things just within the last couple of months -

I'm such a geek for doing it, but i collect action-figures. Collectable ones though, that cost £14/£15 each. I have been collecting for about 3 years now. But recently, they (sister and her husband, i'll call them Mr and Mrs X) have been buying loads of figures for him. I mentioned to Mr X, that a new series of these Dragon figures from McFarlane look kinda cool, i had no intention of buying them, i just mentioned it. Then what did they get my nephew for Christmas? Every single Dragon figure you can get, amongst other figures.

Last summer i bought an electric guitar, just a cheapish one, to see how it goes. My nephew, who had never even mentioned having a guitar before, decided he wanted one. So what did he get for his birthday? A £300 guitar, with an Marshall amp. He hasn't played the damn thing since!

Just after Christmas, i went and bought a X360 with a 26" Samsung HDTV. They came round, said how great it was (well apart from my nephew saying things like "the blood on GoW looks pretty rubbish" and "Ive seen much gorier games than this" (talking about Dead Rising). But him and Mr X are avid Playstation fanboys, always dissing the 360 since it's release, saying how the PS3 will be better etc. So guess what? Just had a message off the nephew now on MSN saying "Guess what? I've got a 360 aswel ;)"....along with a 32" HDTV it seems.

Should i say something? Or just leave it, because they will take offence and we won't see them for a few months (it's happened before with something else). Or am i just been childish?

Ahhh...i actually feel better i've said this now

I know the feeling. I had a friend who got anything he wanted plus the better version of everything I had... it can be annoying.

Own him on Xbox live and call him a noob.

He just sees you as his hero. Be glad man and quit moaning. He is going through a phase so use the chance to teach him something good. :)

Although I see your plight, I can't understand how a 13 year old boy and his toys should be of any consequence to your grievance... is it YOU that is jealous?! ;)

I really don't mean this to sound insulting but you almost sound a little jealous?

Why do you give a damn if he "copies" you? In fact you could take it that his parents actually appreciate your judgment in some matters and that's why they buy similar items.

Just my humble opinion.

I'm sure everyone will come up with a lot of great suggestions, possibly involving flamethrowers or jumping off a cliff, but the best thing to do is not care. Problem solved.
