hello.

im experiencing slight difficulties and concerns. using CPU-Z it shows the core voltage to be 0.952-1.000 V and the Core speed to be 1648.4mhz.

please advise why it is showing so low?

i then received a Warning message (Asus) 3.33v 0.000.

strange.

Hi there,

It is a power saving technology called "speedstep" - which reduces the CPU multiplier and voltage when the CPU isn't under much load. This is a standard feature of the CPU and not worth worrying about or disabling.

If you load the CPU up (eg run a stress test like prime95) then you will see the CPU core speed jump up to the standard level.

well thank you very much for the quick response.
i will run a stress test in a few moments.
i will post a screen shot off the stress test if you can advise if it is ok?

what would you put the Warning sign down to?

thanks

Sounds good.

If the warning sign is just about the indicated level of the 3.33V rail then I wouldn't worry - motherboards are not very good at reading the PSU voltages. If you really want to know what the PSU voltages are then you need to use a multimeter.

it came like this. no overclocking done.

the CPU cooler is stock at the moment.

Did you purchase this Ocuk or a competitor?

Not bad going for a stock cooler, but a investment in decent one would not hurt at a later date.

Nothing actually wrong with the temps, its what's expected really with a stock cooler and that OC. I try and keep under 70 personally. Obviously lower is better

Personally, I would reset it back to stock speeds until you get a new cooler, since 86 degrees after only a few minutes at 100% load is really too hot. Also, I wouldn't recommend running the BLCK at anything other than 100MHz.
