Lads . . . stop bickering!

We all got our own exact ideas on whats right and whats not right, I think it's fair to say we run at somewhere between 55°C to 75°C full loads!

Core Temps quite different!

There are a few reasons I would guess the core temps vary quite a lot across a DTS enabled processor

In no particular order . . .

• The Heatsink isn't fitted correctly
• The Heatsink has an convex or concave base
• The TIM is extremely uneven
• The CPU has a convex or concave IHS
• The CPU has a slanted IHS
• The CPU Cores have an internal TIM bond that is uneven
• The CPU Cores have an internal Solder bond that is uneven
• The CPU's DTS is faulty
• The CPU Cores actually run hotter/cooler (Mainly Quad as two Dies)

I agree, too many school boy arguements in here!
I am going to try lapping the heatsink to give it a flat base as I suspect it is curved. This will also mean I will re apply the thermal solution, and maybe this will help too.
