Corned Beef Sandwich

I'm watching my weight. More calories, means more exercise and I can't be bothered right now. (I would have made my own sandwich otherwise),

She cracks me up though, she made my sandwich and got back into bed and is now fast asleep. Which means she won't remember in the morning that I woke her up to make me a sarnie at 1am.

Woohoo.

Sounds like you have a good lass there. Good luck to you.

There's three types basically. American corned beef is just salt beef.

Also before canned version, it used to be chunks of salt beef(trimmings basically) packed together with butter.
Same as most things just means different things in uk and USA

Wet-cured in spiced brine products are more supple and tender due to the brining, and in modern times, is usually made from brisket or round steak.[1]

Dry-cured with granular salt beef is much drier and firmer in texture, even after rehydration, and can be made from various cuts of beef.

Canned minced salted meat is ground salted beef that is crumbly and oily, and made from various portions of beef.

Old English for small hard bits of corn. Which in this case they used to describe the salt crystals. So no corn in corned beef.

The word corn derives from Old English, which is used to describe any small hard particles or grains.[4] In the case of "corned beef", the word refers to the coarse granular salts used to cure the beef.[3]
