only the full kits ? more interested in just the bottom one, and maybe the PSU side panel one.

You don't need one for the PSU. Corsair did tests on it and said dust wasn't a problem where the PSU is. It might be if you set it on the floor.

Yea mate OCUK should take a different approach from Demcfilter.You do not need so many filters unless the front filter of the Carbide 540 is a fine metal mesh rather than demcfilter type material.Right now i have no idea and i put a thread up in case section about this for corsair owners.


But anyways you only need front,rear,bottom side on the Carbide and if corsairs filters are the same material then u only need rear bottom and side.Demcfilter are providing filters for extraction slots which is a bad idea.


They do impede airflow a lot on fans so not good.Maybe some experimentation and a custom OCUK tech labs kit?

I have both a demciflex and a freshly opened 540. For anyone curious I can tell you that the demci is a much finer material. The 540 filter is best described as a fine mesh with holes ~0.6mm squared whereas the demci is a fine fabric, you can see the holes but it plays havoc with your eyes. Laid over oneanother the demciflex has ~6-9 holes per corsair gap.

As rofflay says they do impede airflow particularly the demci, I can blow from over a foot away and feel the air on the back of my hand through the corsair, nothing with the demci. Not that the corsair wont be a decent filter btw, many other separately purchasable purpose filters are similar, just the demci takes it a step further for better or worse.

I was unsure about buying one at first ...but thought I would give it a go....and I'm glad I did , And even though I have the same fans as in my old case ...its much quieter .

Would have liked a few more tie off points at the back...but ...i would still say to get one

Maybe I need to do a little more cable management lol
