Looks very very nice - picture on first page makes it look massive but from the dimensions appears to be quite compact, midi-tower size in height and length but a bit wider to accomodate the PSU relocation to behind the motherboard tray.

Very tempted...... must resist!

Can see cable management being a doddle with this case. Slight shame that for the size it doesn't hold more 3.5" drives as would make a good home server case.

You can use any dvd drive in a vertical position as far as i know.

But not all 5.25" DVD drives have clips on the tray to hold the disk when it's vertical and the tray is opened.

Without those you can imagine how the disk will fall out when you open the drive vertically mounted.

All slim drives with a tray have a clippy thing on the spindle which holds the disk.

Exactly.

I would have to use a 5.25 holder. I would rather get a 5.25 dvd drive that can hold the disc. I'll ask again. Do OCUK sell these?

This case and the raven are very different. Only you will know which has the features that suits your requirements.

Especially as your initial question was 'this or that'

Had you given a list of requirements or pointed out what features were most important to you then I am sure another member would have gladly helped with your case decision.

My opinion on the matter is that the Corsair will be the better WC case as the out of box rad support is better.

Anything after that is entirely down to personal taste imho

OK thanks, will think of a few things and post back.

This case is confusing. I can't see it being great for air cooling as there's very few fans in the main area where the hot components are. But It also appears this case won't work to well with watercooling if the biggest radiator it will accept is a 2x 140mm? Which is a shame as I like the look of this case.

Oooo I like the look of this.

1uke. It has 2 140mm fans in the front and one in the rear with space for 2 more 140mm fans in the top. Plenty of air cooling and with the case been short it may aid the cooling.

Explain how this case is confusing? It just a square case. Maybe you need to read up on it first before you say it's confusing. PSU and HDD are in the back. Mono,CPU,gpu are in the front. The cooling in this case will be amazing.

If you say so.... I have my reservations. Side fans are great at cooling heavily overclocked motherboards but to be honest I don't think this is aimed at high end air cooling and more mild overclocked systems with great looks.

On the watercooling front which I'm personally more interested in this sucks unfortunately. Who wants to have lots of 140mm radiators? It's much easier/cheaper and more efficient having nice big radiators. Looking at that video the radiator in the front looks terrible and covering a third of the motherboard up?

Sorry if thinking out loud and asking questions offends you RetrogamerX. Confusion over I guess.

I will personally wait for something with a better layout in the rear compartment to take bigger radiators. This case could look awesome and will look forward to seeing some builds in it.

To each their own. This case is what I've been looking for. I guess it's not for you.

He mentions a 360 up front and 240 up top in the 540 case... Thats more than enough for high end gear.

Side fans? It doesn't have side fans.

It can fit a 360 and 240 and as far as I can see the only rad being used in either vid is the top mounted H100i? Could be wrong of course.

From the below pic it does.

I haven't read the entire post (I am supposed to be hoovering the house :D) but I was wondering where the closed loop cooling radiator went in this?*

Looking at the picture it looks like it goes into the "void" where the PSU etc live.

I really like the case, if the airflow is better than the HAF X (I am slightly perturbed by the lack of side fan for the GPU, but maybe that's a non-issue) then I might get this. I am not sure what I will do with the HAF though...hmmm

*I have the Antec 920 so I would need to thread it the same way (probably), and obviously you need to get the rad or the...(what do you call those bits that go on the CPU?) through the gap.
