Corsair H50 Water Cooling Kit

10 min later, you mean like this?

I've had another go at remounting the pump/plate as when I took it off the contact wasn't that good. Put more paste on this time. Currently re-running the test so I'll see what temps I get this time. Pump is still buzzing, I'm hoping that it'll wear off otherwise I might RMA it. I've posted on the Corsair forum and I'm just waiting to see what they say.

Bobby, can't you have the rad mounted like it is in this picture:

But still have the block fitted like it is in this picture:

So then you will be able to fit your side panel without any issues.

What is it that is stopping you getting the panel on anyway, is it the side fan on the panel?

the block is upside down in both pictures, the top of the rad when tubes are at the top prevents panel going on, only by a few mm tho

Well I've gone back to using the Prolimatech due to the buzzing that's coming from the pump. It really is annoying as my PC is quiet and I can't be doing with the buzzing sound. From looking around I think that I have got a faulty pump as most people are saying the pump is silent. Just waiting to see what is said on the Corsair forum before deciding if I RMA it or not.

I just turned mine upside down, and done a 20minute prime95 blend test.
Ambient temps 21c, case temps 24c. there was a marked improvement even taking into consideration the lower ambient than before.....

I'm shocked actually, I never thought I would see an idle temp below 42c with an i7 without a custom waterblock.

presumably the orientation has something to do with the inlet / outlet positions on the pump / res.

still waiting for OcUk to get free stock, was told they were due shed loads on Friday...

Oh well, at this rate I won't get PC built until 58xx arrive so won't have to throw monies at a stop gap card :(

Surely turning the case upside down would have turned the radiator upside down too?

This is getting more and more bizarre. We now have a £60 cooler with a heat-source directly above the CPU (the pump) and a single, thin, 120mm radiator that is outperforming custom systems costing 8 times as much with 6 times the heat dissapation area? It does seem just a bit too good to be true.

Anyway, I have ordered one from a competitor that has plenty of stock and it will be here on Tuesday. And I've ordered a NorthQ Siberian Tiger from the same source as well. Oddly, they've not seen a big rush on either of these units and there's no big fuss about these on other forums.

And if you turn it upside down, it improve the performance by approximately 8%. That would suggest there's air in it to me.
