Corsair H50 Water Cooling Kit

decided to overclock my q6600 a bit more now my h50 is run in.

im very pleased with the temp for such a small watercooling unit.

Didn't see this thread. A useful read since my H50 has just shipped. How are you guys cooling northbridge? Mine has passive cooling (with a little fan stuck on afterwards), but the temps are really holding me back. Hopefully the H50 will reduce internal case temps a little.

Mine's great! Running it at 4.2GHz and not going near or past 80c on any cores. However, it does give my legs the chills.. it feels so cold sitting with my legs tucked underneath my desk :(
Note: I've cleaned off the pre-applied thermal compound and applied my own MX3 :)

As I have had to take mine off my UD5 which had had to RMA'd. I have some MX3 to apply when the new one turns out.

When I installed it originally I put the top bracket on the pump before putting it on the motherboard. If I use this method again should I put the mx-3 on the cpu or on the waterblock?

One thing I noticed is that due to the wide area of the pre-applied compound some had gone on the ZIF socket bracket on 3 sides, but mostly on the side with the lever.

Has anyone had any luck installing one of these in an Antec p193? I'm having trouble trying to find a decent CPU cooler that will fit cos of the P193's stupid side fan

ive got a p190 and had the same problem with loads of coolers.

had to go down the watercooling route and this is my 2nd watercooling set up and by far the best in terms of space, cooling and noise.

Can anybody confirm if the h50 can fitted easily/without problems into the CM Storm Sniper case? Not been able to find any confirmation of this anywhere, so forgive moi :)

Plan to replace the 120mm stock fan with a 120mm acache fan.

This cooler is very impressive! Hitting 4Ghz, stable and with a peak of 60C. I did try mounting it as an exhaust from the case with a single fan, but it wasn't doing a very good job of keeping my CPU cool. So I changed it to an intake from the top and added another fan. Such a difference!

I will upload pictures if I can find my stupid camera cable. Along with my new 5970 and finally getting around to some decent cable management, I am very happy indeed :D. Had been tempted to get a kit like this for a while, but glad I waited for the H50. Now just need to replace one of the exhaust fans on the roof that keeps rattling!

Just wondering -- If possible, mounting the H50 at the base of a case (Fractal Design R2) as an intake would be the most ideal, right or wrong? My floor feels ice cold so where better to get cool air from? :p

This is what I would have done if it could reach. Certainly the coolest air from anywhere around my case.
