Corsair H50 Water Cooling Kit

This is the best off the shelf cooling system I think I have ever bought.

Ran prime95 (small ffts) over night on an over clocked i7 920 C0 @3.6ghz and never went over 70c.

Running it with the stock PWM 120mm fan only in push configuration.

Superb!

Can anyone confirm the sound you are getting from the H50's pump?

Mine seems to make a slight rattling sound similar to a hard drive clicking. It's not mega loud but definately noticeable over the other stuff in my case.

I used to have a custom water setup and when I initially fired it up it was noisey because of the little air bubbles but it soon settled down to the point where I could only hear the pump humming. Never had any rattling from that.

interesting, thanks.

I think I might have a play, maybe rotate the rad and refit the block/pump. If the noise is still there I guess it's RMA time :(

Any others with similar probs as me? also out of interest are people fitting the rad with the barbs at the bottom or top?.

In the installation guide on corsair webby it says it doesn't matter which way up you fit it. Mine's with the tubes at the bottom but that's only because my ATCS 840 won't let me fit it any other way.

I don't hear any noise either.

H50

Got mine mounted with the pipes up the top & the Corsair logo is horizontal, with the fan on the rear of the case.

Doesnt make any noise at all.

Mounted it that way as the pipes seem to sit better in my Corsair 800D.

Best product (H50) that I have bought for ages :)

Cheers

Bought H50-1 at weekend and fitted it into HAF932 i bought off MM last week. I'm well pleased with the end result. :D

Anyone got this on an Asus P5Q pro board or similar? slightly worried about the distance between the 12V power connections at the top left of the mobo, would be tight I think!

last time I checked a review on tomshardware, it looks like this water kit did not out perform a air cooler?
why it has a fascinating results this time I wonder?

It definitely outperforms a high end cooler. I've had some and this is much better. :) Really happy with its performance.

Modjo - that looks sweet, ordered one last night after realising it was on a P5Q pro :D Amazing how much more room you have in that case after fitting, area around the CPU looks so much clearer, no doubt that'll help airflow in the case too.

Cheers. My only gripe is the fan noise. The 3 220's, the 1 120 with the rad, the pump and the 2 4870's all going together is a lot noisier than before. Sounds like a group of servers! Still, the system as a whole is miles better than what I had before, and a lot neater! No chance of temp issues now.... :D

I'm about to install this in a Coolermaster Stacker with an i5 @ 4.0 bundle and I am totally undecided about which way round to fit everything.

I have an 80mm fan in the roof of the case, which should obviously be set to extract.

I can fit another 80mm in the side panel, and I have a 120mm at the front blowing in over the HD bays.

I'm tempted to go with an intake on the side panel, which should help the GFX card, and fit the H50 as a push/pull extraction. That way I have a 120mm and an 80mm on inlet and the H50 and another 80mm on extract.

Anybody want to comment, especially if they have experience of fitting into a Stacker?
