Corsair K70 keyboard

Compared to the razer blackwiddow 89.99, TT esports meka g-unit 99.98, qpad mk80 99.98, Cm storm trigger 99.89 i could go on but i've proven my point lol. Im not saying its a bad keyboard i've been waiting months for it and will be getting it but when the price comes down its not worth 120quid at all.

I think all of those are made of plastic though aren't they? I guess you pay a bit of a premium for the aluminium body and the fact it's a brand new product. It'll come down in price slightly I'd have thought.

£120 isn't expensive for backlit keys and solid construction with great support. Ducky shine 2's have a £150+ price tag without macro keys.
Have to make up my mind soon between the duckys and k95

I ordered one yesterday -- had to use a competitor due to OcUK being out of stock. :(

Amazingly, it arrived today, despite the fact I used the economy delivery option (shame about the external packaging though, which had a huge hole in it!)

A quick test on my office PC confirms that it's everything I've ever dreamed of in a gaming keyboard. ;) Can't wait to try it out properly tonight.

Damn you guys, I pre-ordered mine about a month ago and haven't received anything yet. It's in the warehouse queue and 10+ in stock (silver version), so hoping it comes tomorrow!!

Looks like an amazing keyboard :D

Just plugged in my K70 and damn it is nice!

One minor thing, I am not sure if my spacebar was put on back to front but I found the angle of it to be quite sharp, pulled it off and flipped it around and now it is just right.

Will post some pictures in a bit of my setup, also enjoying the M65 mouse on a new Razer Destructor 2!

There's literally nothing I dislike about this keyboard I have to say :) I'm pretty picky when it comes this sort of stuff too. I've been holding off buying an expensive mechanical keyboard for years waiting for the right one :p

Damn you guys are persuading me too much! Might have to ditch the Ducky for the K70 or 95. Does anyone know if I can set the macros on the K95 to open programs?

Few phone pictures, including the spacebar after I reversed it.

Pretty sure it should be like that from the factory and mine was just wrong?

If, like me, you are going to be using the volume "roller" on the keyboard, you may want to check out this utility:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/volstep/?source=dlp

It allows you to change the "steps" in which the volume is altered. By default Windows 7 seems to change in 2% steps when you use a multimedia keyboard. With this utility I am now changing in 0.5% steps, which gives me far more granular control of the volume.

(I'm using headphones, so my max volume is probably about 12%).

No, it's not supposed to be tilted down like that, it's meant to be level with the other keys. But if you find it more comfortable then go for it!

OK, well yes I like it a lot more like this :D

The way I press the space bar with the side of my thumbs it was kind of digging in on the edge.

Overpriced compared to what? Full mechanical with independent backlighting on every key for £120 sounds pretty damn good to me!

I paid £120 for my Filco (Cherry Brown) with no backlighting!

Compared to the Gigabyte Osmium for £100 which is arguably a better keyboard in every way, yes it's overpriced.

Mines due in about a week, stayed with OcUK for my order. Unfortunately they seem to be having stock issues (They sold out of their first batch before it arrived.) Looking forward to it.

Making the switch from the Qpad MK-85 won't be huge but the Mrs will be happy to have it when I get the K70 :)
