The increasing number of people who don't get the '11' reference need to live a bit more and watch the TV more too! :p

I don't even watch TV... just a few things via on demand services, but that was probably one of the best shows recently so among one of the few things I've watched

Why what is it?
Always been High School to me.
I went to Hanley High School in 1969, my kids went to Blurton High School in the 2000s and so on.

Same here, it's always been High School to me too. I went to Oakhill High School which then merged with Thistley Hough High School to become Trent Valley High School.

High school? People call it high school?

I went to a primary school, junior school till '77, then a comprehensive secondary school till '84, then work.

This was back in the day of O and A levels, where the grey haired teachers would carve your exam results on stone runes.

Can't really see where i could have squeezed 'High School' in.

Sounds suspiciously American to me :D

Can we clear up if this guys son is called eleven? Add this seems to be the main interest here!

:p

OH SERIOUSLY!

It isn't a guy.
It was about her daughter.
and she wasn't able to afford a school uniform as they were too expensive.
Now she has taken out a paypal loan and there is no stock left of uniforms.
She's going to complain through the appropriate letterbox.
Also she is getting a deed poll application to change her daughter sex to fluid, or eleven.

You obviously didn't go to High School

Doh, stand in corner, hands on head :(

Either way i still see 'High School' as a modernism/Americanism for secondary school.

Same way as these school leaving dress up 'Ball' things are just the same thing renamed as the 'get drunk we are out of here parties/lame discos' we had in the eighties :p

My High School was formed around 1888 before Americanisms were thought of.
