Roof scoop, mini scoop, wheels and lights need to go, but other that that it looks a really nice example. Especially if you do the carbon/blue thing with the bonnet and spoiler

Sounds like it has a decent spec too.

And there's nothing wrong with gauges. Gauges are cool, and the more a car interior looks like the flight deck of the USS Enterprise, the better.

I have the same amount in mine, in addition to an absurdly oversized rev counter on the dash. With a shiftlight. Oh yes.

cool wanted your opinion on it, clearly im blind regarding the wheels I shall source alternatives shortly :)

roof scoop goes immediately as do the lights (sti clusters ***), wait to find out how much the paintjob costs :)

defi dials definitely rock, I crave the ability to replay my journies whilst sitting in traffic jams :D

Only slight concern is this:

That's quite a lot of boost for a VF34, getting near the top of it's efficiency range. Much more than that it goes past it's efficiency range and starts super-heating the air. I had one before the '05/06-20G, it's a nice, quick spooling turbo, but it's not *that* big and max power capability is around 330-340 IIRC.

With IHI turbos not as strong as the TD series I'd be a bit wary of running it at 1.45 bar all the time, as it's basically right at it's limit. I'd also be wary of charge-temps as it is still on the TMIC, thats not a great thing with a turbo that at it's efficiency limit.

yeah i remember you having one, I loved my td05/06 would definitely invest in one again (christ I'm already spending money and I dont even own the car yet!), the car was mapped (the car above) and produced circa 380hp, I thought the vf34 was good for upto 400, if its lower I'm surprised they mapped it so high! im having a search around SN now see what others have achieved. Seem to recall Adam F using the VF34 on his early totb project - memory is hazy though :p

the interior is lovely, very understated and has a nice OEM feel to it, amazed he got so carried away with the rest of the car, 18" superleggas will replace those rims if I get this car :)

yeah they are standard sti seats, gear knob is not really a concern can swap it for a myriad of others for peanuts, the steering wheel is getting changed isntantly though, I'd keep hitting those buttons hoping for NOSSSSSSS and getting the horn instead :p

Understatement of the year :D

That car is awesome! Is it going for much?

well within budget, allowing for some cheeky upgrades and a decent ICE setup :)

aftert insuring it I will have about 4k left over if I stop visting goddam hugo boss shops during my lunch hour :p

dunno ill find out,

as you point out its already popped, there are lower mileage equivs but with no rebuild, hence this looked like a good enough deal - high mileage doesnt remotely bother me, my old MY95 is on 182k now :D

I've asked your questions and few more of my own, watch this space, oh and does anyone wanna drive me to wales to buy it :p

Mmm, adjustable centre diff :D

mmmm no abs :p

I'd love a type R but decent and well fettled examples are so rare, i dont get my company car for a few weeks so need a car this week, this p1 is likely to be an impulse buy so im hoping i dont regret it, you guys usually point out all the pitfalls so thats why I asked :D

upgrades would be nothing power related for the moment although a td05/06 and fmic would be considered once i get bored (2-3 days :p)

full defi install (just the triple centre pod)
pretty large stereo install, not sure on the details but I fancy spending a grand or two on it

and a shopping list of mods on each door including mods I dont even have, followed by afterburner lights a scoop on the roof and some LED washer jets. :p

Only just seen this thread, another buy buy buy vote from me, loved your old scoob, this looks even nicer, though no room for carbon fibre weave goodness :(

long time no speak matey, hope life is good :D

thanks for the vote of confidence, I hear your points Eddscott but TypeR's but trying to find one remotely as nice as the one I originally wanted is proving impossible, P1's have always had a softspot in my heart and whilst the adjustable diff goodness is fun I dunno how much real application it would get. WR p1's are all at a premium at over 15k , this p1 is very cost effective - so much so I'm leaving out the price in case you all get tempted :p

Tis excellent matey, out persecuting motorists and being racist most days as ya do ;)
Hope you're enjoying yourself back in Londontown :)

Is this scoob quicker than your old beastie?

should be about the same give or take, probably feel a lot less "Bodged" though, I do like your sense of humour though lets hope you have many many many children who all grow up like their dad and persue the same profession then I have hope for the country :D
