bleh seems like the other Type R has re-appeared again now!

any chance of a poll dons?

Option 1 - £11,500 ish

The type-r with the crappy stick on bits, whilst it looks crappy the spec list is immense and its in amazing condition, bear in mind the spolier and bonnet will be painted blue too, the roof vent will go instantly and I will crash watching all the dials (which I love btw)

power : 350-380hp

Option 2 - £11,500 firm

The P1, high mileage but with expected engine failure already fixed, few sensible mods nice condition.

So thats my two choices, both available straight away and i need to buy one before the week is out, I need a car before work next week and I dont get my company steed for a few weeks at least.

So yeah *yawn* I keep going on but I value your opinions and its whittled down to these two

50 /50 atm :p

everything that looks crap would go from the type R, wheels would take a month coz I need an extra grand to sort new ones, the rest I can do on whats left in my beer money for the month :)

Only just seen this back through the pages.

If ever there was a car to tempt me to the dark side.

:D

considered an evo, just the thought and expense of servicing it every 2000 miles put me way way off.

glad to see its still a dead heat with regards to the voting :D gonna be a close one

The type R would lose the wheels and go back to blue, I have to say its winning the battle in my mind at this time, although the guy is proving hard to get hold of due to health problems.

painted the type R with new wheels would look like

second one has the wheels I want to buy for it too, just so you have some idea in case the stick on tat is clouding your judgement, and the third one too (edit)

got the money today :)

a lot more than I thought actually, guess my shares did well, still keeping with my two choices though so I'll go get the cash, come back and see which car you lot say I should buy

oh the type R to insure is 1650 quid all declared, the p1 is 750 all declared

lack of ABS apparently screws you on the type R, thats through Gary Moulson, wont even bother telling you what L&V quoted me, 29 4 years NCB and 3 points - some insurance salespeople should consider a career in standup :D

You remember the last time you ignored my advice, you ended up being a balding man in a VTEC S2000 :p

Seriously though, the P1 is a special car [insert speshul driver joke here], and will be good fun, means they'll be more scope for modding too ;)

just ordered my defis

speaking to a mte about which stereo to buy (gonna spend £1000-1500 on it)

td05/06 is a definite consideration too, especially as I could get it remapped at the RR :D
