this has been going on for about 12 months now we have 2 disabled children and been sending all evidence of the childrens DLA trying to get a council house.
back and too uploading evidence to support why we need a 3 bedroom house as our children cannot share a room and has been documented by specialists to support this.

they sent an email earlier declining us any housing and going over the same old excuses please show us evidence too which i appealed to the housing officer as per the email to challenge the decision.

now i just got an email which was obviously sent in error to me from the secratary that should have gone to the housing manager.
i find it very unprofessional it seems us and our disbaled children are a bit of a laughing stock to them

email i received.

Hi Jacqui,

See email…now take a deep breath LOL x

Christine

thoughts ?

edit: just got a call from christine saying sent in error jacqui is in hospital and making some sort of excuses for the email sent she know she has done wrong.

That's awful, might be worth speaking to Shelter regarding this and your situation. You could also email your Councillor and MP about the email you got from Christine.

terrible it is buddy the kids are DLA she just called me trying to give me excuses about it.

its cheshire west and chester how do i take this further ?

Why jump straight to escalation? You want to secure housing for your children, not avenge an email sent to the wrong person and cause more stress.
  1. They've declined you because they need evidence but what was the reason for the decline?
  2. You claim you've sent evidence, so point them to this email (or submit again)
  3. If they still decline you (with a valid reason, not a lack of evidence) then escalate it.
Complaining about the email is priority number 2 in this saga.

Hi EVH this has been back and too now for 12 months we have gave all the proving evidence and got no where then receive that email in error so seems they are not interested in helping us.

Agreed. If you start running to the press, MPs etc over a fairly innocuous email it doesn't paint you in a great light, and might even undermine your credibility.
Focus on the issue at hand (housing), by all means escalate that primary issue, but this email thing I would say is more something to use as leverage with them directly in the first instance. You can just calmly present your case, say you got this email in error which is concerning but your priority is looking after your family, you want reassurances from them about what they are doing to investigate your appeal etc.
You've been told Jacqui is in hospital, so that again is a good opening, you can ask who will be dealing with your case in her absence.

ok how would you make the email out ?

1) It isn't wrong to be fighting for housing. Why are people saying the OP is the problem?
2) If I had sent that email, I'd be in deep ****. It is unprofessional, and to be show's the casual nature of dealing with citizens that is not acceptable. I would be looking for escalation and the case given to someone else, and at the very least an apology.

But then, this is GD, where people openly mock each other.
Think this reply says it all she messed up and knew what she said and then called me trying to say jacqui is in hospital on deaths door to which I put the phone down.

I can’t help that my children are disabled but it seems like that email I received some people are in the wrong jobs.

Just trying my best for our children but I feel terrible and read that they don’t give a ……

That is ridiculously unprofessional. To then send it to you is incompetent. I'd be livid.
Are you able to escalate it above them? I'd be demanding a face to face with their boss

Christine called me straight afte making some story up I said I was not happy and very unsure about the email and said i may take this further too which replied I can forward the email on to her superior l.

Like yes as if she would.

We are feeling gutted here these people should be looking out for these people with disabilities not making fun and fibbing us off which is what that email in error shows :(

I agree with others, the email is of a secondary concern, witch hunting it won't get you any further.

However, I wonder how that department would react to a Data Subject Access Request (GDPR). Of course this would be for the purposes of identifying what information you have already sent pertinent to your case, just so you don't duplicate it. It wouldn't be used to discover what other snide emails they have about you. Honest.
Only showing specialist proof of why the disabled girls can’t share a room

I'd take it further as default. They're clearly not taking your issues seriously. The taking the **** part is completely unacceptable.
They’ve asked for proof of DLA we have sent it whatever they have asked for we have sent it. I still can’t believe what I gave read in that email she knew she messed up and called me straight after it.

All stuff aside the children are disabled and need help I am just trying to make their life better and we seem to be a laughing stick for Christine and co, how many others have they done similar too.

God forbid you don’t have disabled children to lol after and life and care for without these people in the wrong jobs

:(

Its an internal email between 2 workers who are obviously friends, you wouldn't expect it to be formal.

Without context it pretty meaningless, Christine could have been sending a lot of emails to Jacqui that day, Jacqui might of said earlier ' If i get another email from you i will explode ' - Hence the take a deep breath LOL.

Unprofessional ? More like a mistake, and everyone makes those.

I read no malice or personal insults towards you or your case.

Focus on your case, a mistakenly sent email wont magic a 3 bedroomed house your way sadly.
My email was forwarded on in her email

I disagree with others, contact your local MP at the very least, relay your struggles and voice your concerns over their conduct. You have genuine reason for concern that they arent taking you seriously despite evidence.

The councils will do everything in their power if an MP gets involved.
Thank you yes
It’s very unprofessional and fibbing us off and she messed up just shows what they are

Our children are disabled and yes they are children we are there voice and just want the best for them

Unprofessional ? More like a mistake, and everyone makes those.

Man of honour…., god forbid you ever have disabled children and try to voice for them

It’s a sad sad world without having people in the sector making fun of you too between them

See, jumping to conclusions.

I have a disabled partner, i have had to jump through the same hoops with PIP, DLA, Housing Benefits etc. as you are experiencing
I've had to provide the same info many, many times to the same departments, also attend medicals with her to get specialists to confirm her condition.

Don't judge someone you do not know.
Ok so the email I received and knock backs is ok then

All I can do as a parent and a dad to the lovely girls is do the best for them we have been trying and trying and uploading evidence from specialist time and time again to basicity be laughed at.

Gutted for them

have emailed the housing asking for it to appealed and they are complying so see how it goes.

do you tell your kids they are disabled all the time? you mention it in every post. Look past the disability to the person.

And maybe Jacqui really is very poorly, I feel you've mocked her slightly in earlier posts which would be inappropriate. Jacqui or Christine may have a disabled child or an infirm partner and things may be getting on top of them too.

who are you
