Counter-Strike Global Offensive (CSGO)

OK I can’t take playing solo anymore and getting the braindead team 50% of the time. One game, they all died or killed each other as usual, I killed 4 of the opposition, planted the bomb and then could not hear the defuse because they could not STFU shouting in Russian on mics!

Although one of them yesterday was hilarious, two of the matches they just start killing each other and one guy, oh my goodness, worst player I’ve ever seen at Silver Elite or whatever it is now (ranking up very slowly due to so many weak teams) – zero kills, how can you not get a single kill in 30 rounds against very mixed opposition? That is amazing. One round, we killed everyone for him, he had the bomb and the timer ran out before he planted! I’m losing the plot with these plonkers, I’m in, I have most of the basics now, I’ll join tonight.
 
solo que can be excellent or dreadful - usually very little in between.

Avoid playing during the daytime as that's when more Russian/eastern European numptys are on.

Solo que can be great if you get lucky with a decent team but awful if not.
 
I got global on my main by solo q'ing in the day time...took a while to get there and yes there are some special people out there but I firmly believe that if you are good enough you will still make your way through the ranks and you learn how to fit into other peoples play styles.
Make sure you have prime activated on your account though as there is a night and day difference in the type of game you will get.

Playing with friends is always 100x better experience though so get adding people from the spreadsheet.

My 2nd account is LEM so if anybody wants to add that then feel free.

daytime or whenever the most players searching for a game peaks in your region I guess is the best time to queue. The later it gets the more I expect some very strange games to happen.

You must have prime really. I want them to expand it also, prime 2.0 for an even higher bar with a medal required but not sure they will

I have a theory it might be best for some people who can carry a team to go that way, basically off the frequency of wall hack in this game as it doesnt penalise random queue wins. In theory it should always be best to have a good lobby but people who are completely the wrong rank and get regular 3k or more might do best solo, not sure. Or you also group with people similarly at the wrong rank that'd work

Solo is the most irritating unless you can somehow outaim everyone, at some ranks they wait for a second before doing anything so teamwork, mistakes whatever doesnt barely matter then. I dont see you on the spreadsheet, add yourself.

No offence to anyone but silver elite to say MG is more or less the same rank in the big scheme of things so I'd have no problem adding you and hopefully nobody would really think twice either

Ive come to realise that you can't really take mm too seriously. I'm mg2 just deranked from mge and some people you queue with don't even deserve a silver rank.

My goal for solo is to just play my own game, if you get good team mates it's a bonus. If not then just block them all and go to town. Gutted earlier 12-9 on rounds. I had 35 kills and have to abandon as daughter woke up. Think it may have been my rank up game too, game before was 90% mge's

The server picker tool is handy in stopping this stuff. The Russians drive me bonkers with constant rubbish music playing or random Russian chat. I now play on the Spain servers where you get a fair few UK dudes, and everyone generally speaks English.

I just use this one that came highly recommended on a Steam forum post:

Works well and is easy to use, tick the regions you want to play on and hit apply, it'll do the rest. Spain has been Russian free, EU West has a few but not a great deal, and obviously the Polish and EU East servers are the ones to avoid.
You'll get the occasional error message where it'll say you failed to click the accept box, but a second search usually works fine.

Nice idea but I installed it and . . . straight into an Eastern European server. Looks like a conflict with Kaspersky, dev's solution is to uninstall anti-virus! so not doing that obviously.

At least I had one other decent player on my team but the other team had 4 so obviously lost yet again. On the brightside, in all these games that are virtually impossible to win, I do inevitably get a few amazing rounds where I feel like Jason Bourne at the end but I'm always 1 v 2 or 3 or 4! How is my whole team nearly always dead after 30 seconds? Awesome when you win and good practice I guess. Going back to watch some of the rounds actually, couple were pretty epic.

tweaked my dpi down a bit last night and had 2 great games, a 15-15 draw but with 35 kills and then a 16-4 win as well.

Not sure if anything to do with the tweak but felt better.
 
Nice clutch!

I'd use Shadowplay with an nVidia card. DxTory is meant to be less heavy than Fraps but takes some setting up.

Just gone being down 13-2 to a 15-15 draw. Love it. I will get out of Silver again! (Silver IV).
 
Anyone mge+ on later that fancies some games. Am mg2 but recently deranked due to queuing with some silver ranked friends. Quite fancy my 2 guns back
