Counter-Strike Global Offensive (CSGO)

Yeah I don't think I've quite got the hang of this CSGO malarkey, main account Silver 2, smurf account Gold nova master.

I think I took a wrong turn :D.

Played a bit of deathmatch last night and today, almost top with deagle (consistantly getting about 24 kills, a lot of matches I get close to 30) - believe I actually won one last night with it. Switched to AK for my last match to see how I'd do considering how well I was doing with the deag... won with 40+ kills on Cobble, a map I've not really played.

That's me happy, considering I've not played for a while. :D

I find it's not quite as bad as it used to be although there's still a lot of smurfing in the silver ranks which makes for infuriating games.

I've seen tools for blocking some of the servers around the world. Someone suggested not too far back in this thread that the Spa ish servers matched them with some British people.

I do find it frustrating that I'm rarely matched with people from the UK.

The ranks are very mixed now, people get demoted too fast and probably should be fast tracked after some absence (back to their own rank level). You are at the wrong rank yourself anyway, you could be invited to every lobby with spaces below DMG unless the random selection, no comms is preferred.
Theres very few UK players vs the vast populations in CSGO from other countries. Its Germany, Russia, Poland as the biggest I think.
Any time I see a brit in any game mode I add them more or less, Im that biased. You can always remove later if no good

Spain servers might exclude some russians as its the furthest for them ? Or goto New York City as an extreme measure, test the deathmatch there and see

First time playing since my last rage quit. Just as toxic as I remembered! Two Russian lads just taking the ****. Blocking, flashing, team killing til both banned.

Back one gold star...

edit: still enjoyable though, look forward to a few more civilised games. :)

On a nice little win streak at the moment. Seem to be playing all manner of ranks.

Solo queueing at MGE and I seem to get paired and play against ranks ranging from mg1 to lem

I'd say 3 out of 5 games are people communicating too which is nice.

At last I've finally got rid of the xbox DVR crap. It was causing all sorts of issues in cs for me, constantly changing screen brightness and colour, weird lag issues ans stuttering.

I couldn't log into the xbox app to turn it off but finally found a video that shows how to do it in registry. All issues have gone thankfully.

here'e the vid if any one else is having issues with Xbox DVR.

You on Win 10? You might want to try the above?

If that doesnt work validate your csgo files,
Re-install your GPU drivers
Re-download csgo

Is there any other place that people play CS:GO on?

I seem to remember reading about other places people use to find games but can't for the life of me remember.

Haven't played for ages and still going through my placement matches, 1 left to do.

Can someone please have a look at this and try and help me.

The problem is intermittent, but is ruining my competitive performance.

Turn net graph on (net_graph 1 in console) and monitor that for packet loss.

Your ping seems stable but obviously some clear lag going on there. Looks similar to what happens when uploading on the connection too - possibly monitor the network tab of Resource Monitor on a second screen and see if anything is using up bandwidth.

Thanks for the reply -

I've got another video with the graph showing. No loss, no choke and no real issue with latency, but the problem is still there. Vid to follow

See OP
Old cs was based around local servers because lowest ping won. This version of CS has more accountable lag compensation so game is less local.

I was reading that the Dust2 map designer and Cobble was a Brit, way back in 2000 that was but CS has way less brits now on average. Add yourself to this list and even those odds back up a bit

Nice win for NIP, they very nearly messed that up but won on eco frags I think. Right at the end of the game SK runs out of money and thats really what won it. Practise your p250 today imo :p
