Couple of Corolla T-Sport questions!

I have offered the seller of this T-Sport £100 to remove the advert (eBay listing ends on Thursday) and secure the car until Saturday.
U mad  youre giving him £100 to take the ad off without looking at it? What if it's a pile of crap? Which it could be priced at 2k. Is it on auction or buy it now? As I never trust auctions on eBay! The good cars are nearly always on classified ad's.

If you get cams it removes the kick of lift. Smooths it out like a NSX. Yes gives you more mod range torque but no top end.

I didn't and won't get them for that reason. The kick on lift is much more fun in my eyes. Then again everyone is different.

It is an auction with a starting bid of 1700 and no bids on it. I would be buying outside of eBay not through eBay.

If it is a pile of crap then I walk away, but signs all seem to point to it being a pretty solid example. It looks to be in good condition from the pictures provided, including pictures of the engine bay, and pictures of a stamped up service log book. It has apparently had new brakes, two new tyres, new plugs, a new battery, and other bits and bobs recently.

It is priced below similar examples, so I am prepared for there to be a few little bits and bobs to sort out, but I am fairly confident that there won't be any horrendous mechanical gremlins.

I have found a buyer for the Polo at short notice for £500 as well, so if I sell the Polo for £500 and buy the Corolla for £2000, thats an outgoing of £1500. I almost got that other Corolla for £2400 + the Polo as trade-in the other week. £1500 vs £2400... :)

This one also doesn't appear to have the same cosmetic blemishes, the aerial is very much not snapped off, the brakes don't need doing, it has 5K less miles on the clock, and the heater apparently blows hot air, so it hopefully doesn't have the heater issue.

Why do so many car sellers not take a bit of time to make sure their photos aren't complete and utter arse?

Or the adverts!

Whenever I've listed cars on ebay I've made use of the fact you've got almost unlimited space to add all of the service history details, an honest appraisal about every aspect of the car....compared to a handful of words like that advert

Indeed, unless the seller was a hell of a lot more descriptive over the phone or via email I wouldn't be touching that with a barge pole.

Acme to make you feel better, at less than £2k one of these starts to seem a lot more attractive.

(still though, buy a celica)

Had one for two years, utterly solid.

Gear change is a bit loose as standard, and its hard to keep it in lift but other than that I liked it.

Don't fit an aftermarket exhaust, they boom at motorway speeds horribly.

The remus backbox I had on mine was actually very quiet, and very close to stock levels but did look a lot better. was just the backbox though, I picked it up after crushing the stock one reversing when the exhaust met the kerb lol.

Isn't it illegal to have that level tint on the front windows? He obviously hasn't told his insurance as most won't let u tint anything other than back windows now and if it's crashed then it voids the insurance

I had the Remus at first, but it is a bit silly looking (two massive exhausts on a hatchback), so switched to a straight through 3". Big mistake.

The front windows aren't tinted.
I've only done a few mods to improve the car. The car as standard is good but can be improved like a short shifter.
Also keeping in lift is easy when you know how ;)

Had a TTE exhaust on my corolla and now a hks silent power on my celica t sports. Either is fine but i prefer the hks

these are at like 3.5-4k rpm at 80mph. So a boomy exhaust will be annoying. Had solid motor mounts on mu corolla so it had noise and vibration anyway.

The photos on the advert are awful and photos are no indication of how good the bodywork is as they look so clean and shiny in them and then when you go to see it in the flesh, the car is full of scratches and other marks.
