Covers that are better than the original?

Can anyone think of any?

I'm thinking along the lines of All Along the Watchtower by Hendrix, (arguably) Johnny Cash covering Hurt, and IMO the Common People cover by William Shatner/Ben Folds/Joe Jackson.

Also thought of Shout covered by Disturbed, Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley and Feeling Good by Muse.

Some comparison vids (with crap audio :/):

Disturbed covering Shout:

Original version:

William Shatner/Ben Folds/Joe Jackson doing Common People:

The original version sounds positively bad in comparison:

A lot of people can't take it seriously after Shatner's infamous previous efforts but IMO it's brilliant. :D

I'm sorry, but most of those fall into the: "What were you thinking that you thought that was better than the original?" The daft version of "Sunday, Bloody Sunday"? No cover of ANY Kate Bush song is likely to work. And Metallica get to massacre two classics. "All Along the Watchtower" - yes.
