COVID-19 (Coronavirus) discussion

currently got 20% of my workforce off with this and verified positive tests. To the man all are saying it's currently just a really heavy cold but with the exhaustion turned up to max.

We still have mandatory FFP2 masks on public transport here in Vienna. a restriction I'm starting to think will never be lifted.

I wish masks were still mandatory in UK too but only in social settings that are a necessity to some peoples lives and they have no choice but to use these social settings for a normal day to day life (public transport, shops and supermarkets, indoor workplace environments, etc etc etc). I still wear masks in some situations and I don't give a **** what anyone is thinking about me when they see me. If you don't agree with masks, that's okay, just get on with your own life and stay out of other peoples affairs/choices.

There was a man in the supermarket the other day who literally stopped dead in his tracks, focused his gaze on me as I was getting what I needed and walking down the aisle, and then started shaking his head, tutting and muttering insults as I got closer, with a frown on his face as though I had done him some sort of serious injustice by wearing a mask. I was tempted to get into verbals with him for staring at me for so long and being rude and over-opinionated but common sense got the better of me so I ignored him and carried on with my shopping.

Have a colleague who wears a mask as her husband is receiving cancer treatment. Had customers asking myself and other colleagues why she's wearing a mask. I just say its her personal choice. That kills off the conversation.

That's all that really needs to be said these days isn't it. Nobody needs to get into heated personal arguments about masks and social distancing and vaccines anymore do they as there's no laws anymore and everyone has got their freedoms back......so it's irritating to people like me when I get stared at for still wearing one or get questioned about why I choose to keep wearing one when that's nobody elses god damn business! Grr....so annoying.

Although I'll probably always be an advocate now for masks in certain busy indoor situations I do think there are still a few random loonies out there that are still wearing masks for no valid reasons that I can think of. Examples of this would be someone walking along a quiet road with no other people around but still wearing a mask in the fresh air.... or driving in their own car with no passengers and no windows open but still wearing a mask. None of that makes any sense to me.

I wear masks sometimes in busy indoor situations. I've been fully vaxed, and had covid twice with no major effects, so I am not vulnerable, but I don't really want to be spreading it more.

If anyone every says anything to me, I lower the mask, cough a little and say I had covid last week, I've done my quarantine but I'm trying not to spread it in case I'm still contagious. That usually stops the conversation as everyone tries to get away from you :).

I said that to someone in my apartment. She was going off on one at me when she asked have i had the jab and said no. She said what your parents say. I said. Its got nothing to do with them. She then asked, what your doctor say, I said, Its got nothing to do with them or you its my personal choice not to have it. Im not stopping you having it or anyone else its my choice just like it was yours. Then she stomped off.

This is the difference like i said for some reason they shout call you names swear at you for the slightest.

Then your the problem people think cold has gone and only covid is here. Be more considerate. Saying something about wearing a mask is one thing but coughing on purpose is just been rude. Other people round you can get ill too not just the one your aiming at. Like i say the only time i say something is when i see smokers wear them and pull them back up when there out side. I just laugh and think OMG whats the point.

I was ultra cautious during the pandemic peak and basically became a recluse for 3 years and had absolutely no human contact so thankfully I've never had to experience Covid as an asthmatic as the general advice given was that people like me were at the increased risk of not surviving.

I still wear masks now but purely for my own protection and not to protect others. There's more chance of me catching germs from other people than the other way around but maybe the retards in our society still don't actually understand the real use and practicality of wearing masks.
