COVID-19 (Coronavirus) discussion

Given Boris, etc. I don't think we can call this a North of the Border problem.

I do believe that Boris for all his faults insisted that all his messages were given to the Covid enquiry. Even before the present administration permitted it.

Oops

Sturgeon and ministers delete messages relating to Covid now the enquiries will be bereft of their wisdom.

Didn't she have a hissy it when there were issues with unlocking Boris's phone? To deliberately delete messages you have promised to provide should form part of a criminal investigation, maybe this could be added to the other criminal investigation into her.. that's one high horse to fall off lol.. also extremely humiliating for those that supported her during covid.. :D

Boris's worst 'crime' was seemingly orange juice and stale sandwiches with an official photographer present - what she is covering must be dynamite.....

Somehow 70 senior Scottish politicians and government scientists managed to all delete their WhatsApp messages on covid.

In April 2021, Martin Reynolds turned on the disappearing messages function in a PM updates group. He says he cannot recall why
Why does it even matter 'why' - this should be classed as perjury no matter the reason. The fact that they even have these options, for anything related to government work, is ridiculous.

Interesting article on a study looking for the source of long covid and it's common symptom of brain fog.

As usual it seems to throw up the connection between gut and brain health, with specificaly Seretonin production and the function of the vagus nerve.

I think I mentioned before, but it seems long covid may be heavily hormonal is nature—serotonin, cortisol been linked so far. This probably explains why the vast majority of cases resolve within a year or two, once levels stabilise.

Of course there can be other causes, and those may be a bit more permanent.

A lot of these studies seem to be trying to nail long COVID, or aspects of it, down as a one specific thing, but I'm not sure it is that simple. For some people it can be quite an assault on a wider part of their body which IMO can knock all kinds of things out of balance for awhile and/or impact on pre-existing conditions which might have been marginal before and so on.

Has anyone been following the enquiry ? It shows what a shower of Pssh our leaders were/are...

Mr Cummings received the message from Mr Johnson on 15 November - two days after the aide left Number 10 for the last time.

Mr Johnson said: "You speak of briefings from team Carrie.

"She hasn't briefed anyone and my instructions to all were to shut the **** up. How is any of us supposed to know where these briefings come from?

"Look at the claims made on behalf of allies of Lee [Cain] and Dom, that I'm out in six months, that I can't take decisions, that Carrie is secretly forging lockdown policy, and about a billion equally demented claims.

"Are you responsible for all that ***p? No. Then look at it from my point of view. This is a totally disgusting orgy of narcissism by a government that should be solving a national crisis.

"We must end this. That's why I wanted to talk and see what we can jointly do to sterilise the whole thing. But if you really refuse, then that's up to you."

It appears that Mr Cummings did not respond.

Asked if there was an "orgy of narcissism" in the government he was part of, Mr Cummings said "certainly".

These are weak people who talked themselves into Government/power, they are spineless. These people are not fit to govern

It was easy to read Johnson like a book, and not a very good book :D

“Big daddy Cum Cum” and his conventional wisdom is for….you know whats. He’s going to try as hard as he can not to look stupid, he’s even said that he realised getting Johnson into power was a mistake within days. Revisionism. And trying not to look stupid.

Hancock as his cringeworthy fake tears.

Williamson and his “algorithm”.

No stronger indictment for the playing of the Benny Hill theme music needed. And that’s just for the Covid mess.

100% agree with this. I've recently had an enquiry from the audit team at my work and if I'd done similar on my emails to remove discussions on approvals for business decisions I'd be completely stuffed. And that's in a private business not in a position that is to be held accountable on a far more formal basis such as being in govt.
