Big studies now showing Ivermectin (yes, that horse drug) is very effective at treating covid.
Only COVID in horses though, right?

Not got me yet. Wife has it again though. Much worse than last time for her (in bed since Friday lunch pretty much). Fully jabbed and boosted.
Disliking this a lot.
Popped into my local tesco's yesterday.
All the screens have been removed from between the self service tills, and the one way in/out setup and now been removed. If it wasn't for the hand sanitizer by the entrance, you would think Covid had never existed.
Still have the screens near me but the one way entrances have been gone for a while.Popped into my local tesco's yesterday.

It is interesting that in low doses it reduced COVID infection rates amongst the test population. Since it is supposed to be cheap drug maybe it is something that the vulnerable could consider using regularly to protect themselves.Big studies now showing Ivermectin (yes, that horse drug) is very effective at treating covid.
Have people now forgotten what having a cold was like?
I had my first cold in years a few weeks back and it made me feel far worse than my second covid infection! I think everyone's forgotten that they can be pretty horrible sometimes!
Well it's definitely a "classic" cold but the first one I've had in nearly 4 years. Did a third LF test today, still negative. Now moved to the nose running like a tap phase, less coughing more sneezing much to the wife's annoyance.
Sadly two years of media coverage over Covid has to some extent pushed aside what it was like to get a cold, which can still be a pretty miserable experience albeit without the possible side effect of death...
Was in a Sainsburys today, it was probably 50/50, with none of the staff wearing them. The fast food franchise operation I've just left is ditching compulsory masks next month, and staff have already been coming in coughing all over the place (don't have to isolate now, and SSP...) so enjoy your burgersI wonder how effective they were in the first place they would only really be of any use for direct aerosol transmission i.e. people coughing and spluttering over surfaces and everyone around them but all those people were isolating at home. Still it was at least a covid awareness thing if nothing else, wonder what sainsburys will be like tomorrow
"Even 'Mild' COVID Is Linked to Significant Brain Changes, Large Study Reveals"

More evidence to support changes in the brain even with a 'mild' infection.
Well luckily we both seem to have dodged Covid completely (famous last words)…I had my first cold in years a few weeks back and it made me feel far worse than my second covid infection! I think everyone's forgotten that they can be pretty horrible sometimes!
Currently still testing positive on day 5 (first time - had my 3 boosters last year as well), confined to my gaming room (slight silver lining) with just a few aches and pains over the weekend and a slightly clammy forehead today its madness, not hugged my two year old daughter since last week, and as my missus works with someone who has underline issues shes got to keep away from me, starting to get a bit annoyed about it now. I've had worse from my two year old over the past year, soon as she gets a snotty nose I'm down with man flu for a week - if I hadn't been pinged from the app (ive now uninstalled!) and then done an LFT last week I would never had known.
Sorry Ive added absolutely nothing of value to this thread, just needed to vent to a load of strangers!
It's something to be concerned about but the first line of the abstract of the article is literally this ' There is strong evidence for brain-related abnormalities in COVID-191–13. It remains unknown however whether the impact of SARS-CoV-2 infection can be detected in milder cases'"Even 'Mild' COVID Is Linked to Significant Brain Changes, Large Study Reveals"
