What does this mean guys? I was suggested it should be between about 1.7v and 1.9v on a 4770k. However I really should know what it means. Also does it have any effect on chip temp?

I cant get my 4770k to go below 74C on full load even with the V core down to 1.24V, just stays same temp 1.26v or 1.24 voltage, is this due to this CPU input Voltage?

Cheers

1.7v is stock and my 4670k can go to 4.3Ghz on that but any higher clockspeed and i need 1.9v. Can't say i have seen a jump in temps due to this but i have high end custom water so my temps are lowish anyway.

How high would you say is the max I should go to CPU Input Voltage wise?
After all my problems my 4770k is stable at 4.2 Ghz at 1.25V V core and 1.7V CPU Input voltage! Rather Happy!

I wouldn't go higher than 1.9v on mine. Everybody says that 1.7v is more than enough but once i set to 4.4ghz and above my cpu won't boot without 1.9v input voltage. 4.2ghz with 1.25v isn't particularly good but at least you have a working overclock now. I need 1.265v for 4.4ghz and 1.285v for 4.5ghz. Over that and it takes huge voltage bumps but i can hit 4.8ghz for benching.

On asus theyre known as IOA, IOD and SA. Try bumping them to 1.15. Ive found i had to increase them a bit when upping clockspeed.
