I have just installed Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro , pc been on since 6pm tonight

CPU 38 °C - 40 °C

Motherboard 38 °C- 40 °C

Temps have never moved over 40 once

Are these temps normal or to high

it must be the case cooling , the temps are not moving up which is a good thing , they are just the same , the case i am using is a standard ATX from mesh which i will change soon

What sort of temps should i be getting

My cpu @ 2.8 with 1.6 volts gets to 50oc sometimes in a warmish room, so those temps are fine imo,

If its load temps then they are fine.

27 c cpu idle (stock HSF @ 1800rpm, OC'd)
22 c (passive)

I would look at your case cooling.

Yes i will look at case change , at least the temps are stable not going any higher then 40 , my pc has been on for around 6 hours today , inside is very cool not warm , i did think using the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler would make a change , the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 is very quiet , i cannot even hear it spinning

Those temperatures are high? I wouldn't say so. My CPU at the moment idles at 37-39C and my motherboard is at 35C.

Depends on your room temperature as well, if you're like my friend who likes to live in a room at 15C, then you're bound to get low idling and load temperatures at 20-30C odd on air cooling.

The board and CPU can take high temperatures, don't get too worked up on temperatures, if it's not topping 40C, then it's fine.

i wouldnt believe that sensor not even good water will give you that idle temp with a normal room temp (20-21 degrees)

It's pretty cold here, and the 3200 chipset does seem to run pretty cool. CPU under load around 40 c. I have plenty of cooling in my case also (see case\stacker thread pic there)

Ambiant room temp is 16 'c, just got thermometer so need to wait for it to settle.

it is warm because hes only single core, if he was dual core, then fair enough, temps about right but dual cores produce more heat so if he can post a pic up of his case with the side of i may give an reason why, when my fx57 was stock on a freezer 64 in my old case, mb 32 cpu 33

I think i might need case change , i am not going to panic about the temps , they are stable and they never go over 40 , i phoned my local pc shop and they said i have nothing to panic about , even my pc been on since 3pm today the temps are the same

Can i just say i have a 120mm fan blowing cold air out or should that be blowing cold air inside the case

Motherboard 38 °C (104 °F)
CPU 37 °C (99 °F)

SHANE Your temps are fine bud, people are just worrying and confusing you :)

EDIT : Hmm Idealy you need 1 x 120mm intake, and 1 x 120mm exhaust

I sometimes wonder if reading forums are a good idea , they scare the hell out of me , one person saying one thing and another saying something else

So my 120mm fan is pushing air out of my case , so is that correct

Or would it be better for 120mm to push air into my case
