****CRACKING deal on 4GB 8500 Kits from Kingston @ £39.99 Inc****

Well, most competitors are selling the 6-6-6-18 version with the old heat spreaders in some cases for over £45.99.

We are:

- Cheaper
- Have Newer Up to date stock
- Have quantity in stock

;)

Whose the daddy! :D

Recieved the RAM this morning and well it's great. Booted up first time with no problems and was simple enough to get to 1066mhz in the BIOS. Games seem to run smoother. Didn't think it would make too much difference but it has. Might even get another 4GB even though the price has gone up slightly. Not sure if I really need it though.

Can you put that on the website reviews please mate :)

I bought these purely to test while waiting on an RMA on one of my Dominator modules. Straight in @ 1066 5-5-5-15 v2.2, however when running memtest the machine locks up. Windows boots fine etc... Fails Intel burn test straight away though.

If I run them @ 800 4-4-4-12 v2.2 memtest runs without a hitch, however once again Intel burn test fails right away.

Put some old geil/g.skill and ocz mem in and ran memtest without a hitch and Intel burn test ran perfectly too.

This all running with on stock Q9550 on a X48-DQ6. Moved the chip on to a X38-DS5 and the memtest worked flawlessly with this memory and the same goes for Intel burn test. Also tested on the P35 OcUK board I had knocking about. Both Giga-byte boards are running the newest bios.

Might need just a tad more voltage on the NB chipset m8 - happens on that board sometimes. ;)
Might need just a tad more voltage on the chipset mate - happens with that board sometimes.
Anyone else running this memory and the same board as me who could run memtest to see if it locks up like mine please?

Excluding the above issue with one of my setups, this memory is great value. Hopefully this is just a bios issue and I could be running 8GB of this stuff for less than the price I paid for 4GB of dominator mem!

Might need just a tad more voltage on the NB m8 - happens with some boards ;)

I think some people are forgetting that there are many other issues other than the memory itself, that will determine how far the RAM wil OC. Different chipsets, BIOSes and drivers will all have an affect.

The RAM in question is ALL from one production of chips - We've sold well over 500 sets with no RMAs at all.

If your RAM won't overclock as well as the next man's, it will almost certainly be due to one of the above reasons or lack of ninja overclocking skill :D ;)
