I do find the sticks a little trickier to work with but they are also best for climbing the platforms that pop in and out.

Also the bonus rounds are best with d-pad I reckon. Still great using either control method though.

I don't like the sticks and the actual shape of the thing, the xbox one pad i use on the pc is far better, just wish sony would ditch and come up with a better design.

Earning the yellow and blue gem on Generator Room and Toxic Waste (Crash 1) is so much easier than The Lost City by a mile.

Up to about 70 lives now.

Completed Crash 1 story. Just need to get all the gems and time trials now.

The bosses are much easier than the actual levels.

I found that, but I think it's because I know how to actually kill them at the start of the fight.

Trying to get the gem on Slippery Climb now. I'm about to smash something . I know I can do it with zero deaths but I'm panicking near the end when I'd normally breeze through it.

Yeah, once you've seen one attack, you learn all the rest very quickly.

Don't think adult me can take how frustrating this game can be. Obviously 90's child me was better, with quicker reflexes. I don't play games to be wound up, and I'm letting this one get to me. The girlfriend loves it, so I can't sell it.

    Fifa levels of rage :(

The first level of crash 1 where you have to activate then jump on the boxes over the tip took me about 11 tries. Grr.

Took me around 30 attempts!! I got the 99 lives achievement by re-running level 2 over and over :) Also got it on Crash 3 by re-running the 1st level (4/5 lives per run). You can run on the ropes on Road to nowhere by the way, still hard though :p

Loving it though, I'm on the 3rd Island on no1 and have cleared 2 bosses on both 2 and 3. 3 is definitely the better all around game and the easiest however I will be completing them all. Don't think I'll be able to platinum them though, some of the time trials are really hard!

I think I'm ready to start attacking them leaderboard times. This really has been fun to play.

I did wonder how long my controller would last without being smashed after my 8-9th attempt :p
