Crashed Helicopter registered to Colin McRae

At least the sad and tragic death of Colin McRae won't be ignored in the media!

Not like Richard Burns' death which was completely ignored in the media because of the death on the same day of some alcoholic wife-beating liver thief!
 
So so gutted, what a superb bloke, really sad, put a tear in my eye.
Feel so sorry for his family and everyone else who loved him.
as someone has already said Subaru would not have sold so many cars without him.

Its a shame we have lost such a true legend, he will be missed in this house.

you can see the impact a man like this has on someone's life, me and my best mate gave up on rallying years ago but I still woke up to a text saying "mate, have you seen the news... looks like mcrae died yesterday" and it woke me bolt upright.

mcrae and burns were 2 people who cemented the idea of being a petrolhead in my younger mind and its now a core part of my personality, so sad to hear they're both now gone and neither behind the wheel of a car.

Wrong wrong wrong.

So true! Me and a very good friend were practically introduced to the car and racing world by his first rally game (alongside gran turismo). Its very very sad news and probably the first time a big "celebrity" from my lifetime has died that i feel truely saddened by.

awful news - I really feel for the family - hopefully Alistair wasnt part of the crash too (one great guy is bad enough but not both brothers)

Followed Rallying just for him for absolutely years, and reallly wish the family well
