**** CRAZIEST PRE-ORDER SPECIAL EVER! MSI GTX 670 POWER EDITION ONLY £199.99 Inc. VAT!!!! *****

Why wouldn't one of these cards be able to do that at 1080 ?
Bf4 is an unknown quantity at present tbh. It could end up being a bit more demanding than bf3 which a single 670 will run maxed pretty well. I played the bf4 alpha trial a while back, but as it was such an early release and missing loads of textures it wasnt great for judging performance.

There's no way in the world that a single 670 will run BF4 at ultra settings 1080p (at an acceptable frame rate). They're likely to aim that at the 9970.

BF3 supposedly runs at over 100fps on stock 670, cant really see there being an unacceptable framerate for BF4 for the finished game.

Not sure how they are able to make a game for a graphics card not yet released.

BF3 is two years old...

BF4's developed in partnership with AMD, and will be bundled with their new card.

AMD marketing - "The biggest game of the year, bundled with our flagship new GPU taking gaming to new levels! Play BF4, enhanced exclusively for AMD hardware, at astonishing levels of detail. Or just buy an nvidia GTX 670 for half the price, it'll do."

You wont get over 100 fps average in bf3 on a stock speed gtx 670 either tbh. I can manage 70 average on max settings at 1920x1200. But thats with a card that was running a pretty high oc of +120 core, +760 memory. Boost speeds in game were 1310mhz, 7516mhz.

This is very tempting. Would one of these cards work well with a Gigabyte WF 670?

Also at 1200p is ther any point in me going SLI?

Obvioudly big two on the horizon is BF4 and RTW2. I guess once the next gen consoles are out things could change.

I play bf3 at 1920x1200 too and to be honest with msaax4 and ultra i dont drop below 60fps.

With msaax4 off i cant tell the difference at this res, so even if bf4 is more demanding and i still have my 670 when bf3 is released i and others will just drop the msaa.

Does anyone know if nvidia 670 cards work right with hazro monitors? I'm aware there seems to be a lottery about whether nor not a card will show the bios...with ATI being worst on the hazro. My current gtx570 is fine.

Just get a mobo speaker. Then you'll know when to hit delete to enter bios. My mobos newest update doesn't show the bios screen anymore. The speaker really helps.

A stock 670 will give about 60fps in BF3 at max settings, overclocked you can get to 70ish. Even a stock Titan can't manage 100fps at max settings.

I think we'll be looking at 2x7950s or 2x770s for max settings at 60fps average at release for BF4.

Pretty much my own experience teppic.

I also suspect that bf4 will be a fair bit more demanding than bf3, but ill be happy enough dropping a few settings, cause even when lowered bf3 itself still looks very good. Full ultra can actually look a bit cluttered on certain maps tbh.

I hadn't been planning to upgrade, but Rome total war 2 is out in a couple of months and I anticipate my 5850 won't cut the mustard.

Will this card do for total war at 1080p, or do I need something with more ram?

What is the approximate resale for a 5850 these days?

I'm sure this card will do fine.
