wow, that was some crazy stuff.

that malinga throws the ball!

Malinga is a slinger not a thrower - his action is far better than a lot of bolwers out there. His bouncer is sometimes suspect but then so is Glenn McGrath's. His action is strange being so round arm which gives him a lot of swing.

Was an awesome game yesterday between the Sri Lankans and SA, was really hoping that Sri Lanka would have knocked SA a few pegs down...for some odd reason i cant stand SA tbh especially that idiot Gibbs, racist No swearing, even feebly disguised efforts. Big Kev that he is...
Malinga had a blinder of a match, 4 wickets in 4 balls:eek:...SA were god damn lucky is all i can say...shame that the Sri Lankans couldnt have made 10-20 more runs as they would have beaten the SA's.

Aussies ran rampant over the WI, didnt expect any less from them. They look quite awesome at the moment...it will be quite a task for anyone to beat them at this point. Hayden looks to be in supreme form...Hussey has been a flop but then he hasnt had much of a chance to get in there an bat as the game is more or less over when he comes in. Was hoping to see some big scores from him as i think hes a top batsman...

Hate to say it, but it might be time for Vaughan to give up the oneday game. Would mean he would probably last a bit longer on the test scene which is where he is most effective for us.

England look on course to get around 250 here which should be enough to win the game. I can't see Ireland passing 200 tbh. If England also win against Bangladesh and WI, which they should be able to do, and beat 1 of the big teams (SL, Aus, NZ, SA), that would mean they have 8 points so they have a good chance of reaching the semi's.

yeah, they've already lost to new zealand though and carry that result, so which out of Aus, SA and SL do they fancy beating??

vaughany's having a bowl, he must really be recovered.....

I reckon we can beat any of them as long as 2 of our top 3 perform and get at least 50 runs each, the rest of the order can take care of the rest. If our bowling can keep them to below 260 (which I think they can) we have a good chance. Out of the three sides we would have the best chance of beating South Africa imo.

Yep your right. They get a shot at the big 3, so they basically have 3 attempts to win 1 difficult game lol, and if they manage that (and also manage to beat the easier teams) I think the 8 points will be enough to take them through. But I could be wrong :p

I don't reckon we can beat south africa, they're bowling might let us put 350 together on a decent pitch if the top order can remember how to bat, problem is I don't think we have enough containing bowlers to stop their top order matching it, maybe if Anderson finds some form and they swap mahmood for lewis. But that depends on batting first...

Sri Lanka will have pleasent memories of a 5-0 series win over us at home, which leaves the aussies...who strangely might be the best bet, at least we should know their weaknesses by now and their bowling could potentially fall apart if put under enough pressure...

Don't think the Aussies are touchable now, they're building so much momentum it's scary. Think we could do over SA if, and it's a big if, Saj and Jimmy are able to bowl tightly along with Fred. It all depends on the top order scoring some runs and taking the pressure off KP and Fred mind.

We're having a pretty good day v Sri Lanka at the moment, they're 219-7 off 47 on what looks a pretty good pitch. We've bowled & fielded really well:)
