How about a references system, where you can vouch for someone, but any rule breaking on their behalf and action against them is applied to you also? :-p

Yes, a reference or "vouching" system has some definite advantages.

One potential problem with it is that a single scammer can vouch for a series of fellow scammers (or fake accounts).

Can you make an MM for selling Mobile Phones only? I have a large stockpile I don't use and would let them go relatively cheaply on here.

20k posts or more? Give proof of ID to a Don? Maybe?

wow wow wow wow! hang on a minute, cheap iPhone 4? TALK TO ME! :p

Sounds like a good idea, it's not like there's not other places to sell items. I've also seen people who managed 250 posts in days, which considering the number of sub-forums here wouldn't be that hard.

dry your eyes

No need really, see below.

Considering I use a speech to text program to post in forums these days which takes forever cause speech to text in forum based software is still horrible. My hands are all but unusable for a keyboard these days, might have something to do with very little posts, struggling with Rheumatoid Arthritis is not fun. :)

I usually just read this forum for hints and tips, a forum post this short takes me about 15 to 20 minutes to prepare since speech to text royally screws up words due to my Scottish accent. :(

What you using? it should learn pretty well with regular use, I use dragon 11 because I have a type of muscular dystrophy messes up my hands.

Yes, that would be another way of performing address verification. But again, is knowing the address of the scammer the main problem? I suppose it might be for a "selling" scammer.

I think with the forum being outside the company sphere data protection would prevent the details being shared.
