I can't stand the Jeremy-Beadle-keyboard aka Wireless one.

If it had the numeric pad, then yes, I agree.

Gotta love the mouse though :)

What is the mouse? Looks very Microsofty to me.

I have to say I agree on the keyboard, they need one just like the wired model but..wireless. Steve's crap about people wanting to bring their keyboards onto their lap was valid but it shouldn't mean anyone who wants wireless wants to lie on their couch in their boxers, eating cheesy wotsits.

And stop posting nice pictures of 2 x 23" setups. You're swaying me away from a 30" which I really want.

I believe it's a MX1000 from Logitech, can't say for certain.

I had that mouse, so it was ideal.. rechargeable AND a great ergonomic fit.

I hate batteries, hence the wired for me.

SP1 does not lift the restriction is just displays the full amount of memory installed you are still stuck with it only being able to use around 3 gig of it.

Thats not what the white papers say on the matter. (I get various whitepapers sent to me from technet to my work account.:p)

Are pictures of dual 24" screens aloud? :p

If they're Dell.. no :p

I know the performance is better, but damn, that company is the pinnacle of cheese. I couldn't sit for 8hrs staring at the logo. I'm sad.

:D If you feel the need.

I did consider the 3008wfp but for pure cosmetic reasons I'm taking a hit in the pocket. It would be nice if Apple updated the monitors to add better reasoning for going for an ACD.

Very. :p.

Doesnt bother me tbh. The bezels very thin.
Unfortunatelly, due to the size of them, i cant replace my desk with something else. :( :p.

It's only the 64-bit versions of XP, Vista etc that can see 4GB of RAM or more. SP1 for Vista can't and won't change the limitation on 32-bit versions.

It's an MS one. Agreed that the MX1000 is a damn fine mouse though, had mine for 3 years and it's been very good. Only problem is that the middle-click on mine is dying so I'm waiting to get the MX5500 set as a warranty replacement for my MX3100 set. Hopefully Logitech are still intent on doing that!

Post some pics then :)
Lol.
I will in the morning if i remember.

Again, thats not what ive read.
The 32bit version is technically capible of accessing all 4Gb, the only difference is that the maximum available to any one app is smaller than that of the 64bit version. Thats the only limitation that they cant get around atm.

UPDATE:

Had to cancel the order, apparently you cannot edit a BTO order.

Well, that's what Apple told me

Quite annoyed because I have to wait 5-7 days for a refund JUST to add the superdrive!

Its concealed behind the fascia of the case and the flap which drops when it opens so it wouldn't look out of place at all...

Well, originally I'd thought of adding my own Blu-Ray drive but then thought if it takes Apple 10 months to add it to the Mac Pro then the support for Blu-Ray drives is going to be about the same.

I just didn't fancy waiting so long JUST to have 2 drives, when I could add a Superdrive to the other and be done. I realise I could have gotten my own CD/DVD drive but I'd rather add it for the sake of £50.

I'm a bit gutted they couldn't add it to my order, you'd think it'd be easy to add, not like I wanted to change the CPU, after all, it was only 1 day in to the 5 days shipping , I doubt they'd even started assembly.

Well, the time has come.

My refund cleared this morning, and seeing as I just got myself a new job I decided to reorder the Mac Pro.

You may notice some changes in the spec (see: OP) :D

Now, to wait until the 25th.. *twiddles thumb*

You'll have to do a review for the blog.
