**CRYORIG is new and so is R1 cooler!**

I would have a couple days ago.. and will a couple days from now. :D

Sorry but Christmas Eve and Christmas are a little hectic. House is packed with people, food, gifts, drinks, kids, dogs,.. no place to setup and work. ;)

Edit: Trust me, you don't want me trying to run temperature tests with what I've been drinking.. hang-over in the morning.. more drinking.. another hangover..

Will be running R1 Ulitmate, PH-TC14PE and Silver Arrow SB-E with TY-147 & TY-143 fans.

Did manage to play for a few minutes with one of the XF140 fans. Must say it's impressive.

Finally got price & pics of R1 Ultimate with black shrouds!
CRYORIG R1 Ultimate - MSRP of $89.95

I am very impressed with the design. This cooler would go hand in hand with my HAF 922 case, increasing it's bad ass look even further.

Here are a couple of pics of CRYORIG R1 Ultimate. Very good first impression!

The big annoyance with this for me is the same as with the Silver Arrow, Phanteks, etc., they seem to be 140mm wide and maybe even a fraction more. With a lot of X79 setup this sort of width will put it very close to a card in the top PCI-e slot.

Have to say that it is aesthetically pleasing I have to repeat what others have said, preformance and price are the main concern with how it looks being a nice perk.

Both old Silver Arrow & Silver Arrow SB-E are quite wide.. 147mm and 155mm respectively.

Others are 138-144mm. Dark Rock Pro 2 is 138mm and Akasa Medusa is 144mm wide..

Think most others are 140mm-142mm

Thin cardboard works very well as an insulation barrier between cooler and GPU PCB. ;)

TJ11 here, so the card would probably fall out unless it was wedged in real tight.

:( Use a little Blu Tack to stick it to back of GPU PCB. :D

Well, if you're gonna get all clever about it! :D

I've got the Silver Arrow and the fans stick out slightly wider than the heatsink, so they give me a bit of a safety net/buffer.
It does not make pressing the PCI-e retention tab very easy when switching graphics cards though!

Part of the reason I'm going watercooling and if I go back to air I'll probably look to get an AIO liquid cooler.

To be fair I think it's more of a design issue with the X79 boards than the coolers. I think some Z87 boards can have similar issues too.

Sorry for the delay. Ms. Flu came a calling and I'm still trying to throw 'er out.

I did manage to get R1 mounted and am running some heat cycles.

Have to admit I'm liking what I'm seeing on these stress runs to make sure it's seated. ;)

Wonder when we will start seeing these for sale and for how much, would buy one on looks alone tbh, fits the black / white / blue build im heading for, especially until i got the cash to buy all my WC loop, would be a good interim cooler if its can perform as good as it looks.

CRYORIG R1 Ultimate has been released in Korea and Japan. Next is Germany, Taiwan and United States.

My guess is once they are in Germany, a week or so later we will have them.

Cryorig coolers €xx,xx and fans €xx,xx available pre-order in Germany now with February delivery. Prices are cheaper than I expected. :D
