Crysis 2... Awsome!

Top Tip for multiplayer : GET HOST!
Seriously the host advantage is huge in this, just had a go on the FFA mode. Came about 8th first game and then top in the second when I was host, so much easier to aim and drop enemies. :/
I think I'll give the singleplayer another bash later on.

To each his own but for me the game has been really enjoyable from the start and although I've played it for ages I'm still not even halfway through. Good to see a developer putting a lot of effort and length into a Single Player mode and including Multiplayer as a bonus instead of a Multiplayer game with a five hour Campaign tacked on, which seems to be the trend nowadays. Even once I finish it I will happily play it again multiple times, exploring all the various ways to tackle my objectives. The Multiplayer mode is fun too and has definitly been improved since the laggy demo. I think this will replace Cod4 as my favourite online game (imo the Cod series went downhill after that) and is definitly my favourite Single Player game on the 360.

The pop up on this is awful. The draw distance is very short and probarbly why most of it is indoors and closed enviroments. Still looks good though.

Went and got this for the PS3 yesterday.

First off what a great game.... The graphics are very good (not as good as COD MW) but very good. As for gameplay.... Its second to none. I'll go as far as saying that it eclipses any Call of Duty game out there.

Not played online yet.

Sold!:D

I'd pretty much made up my mind to pick this up today, but you managed to swing my decision. Thanks:)

Crysis was one of the few games that I played to completion back then. I remember playing it a lot, but can't remember if that was because I enjoyed it, or because I was doing a lot of bench marking, and Crysis was a handy tool:p

One other thing Ive noticed is that (SO FAR) they AI appears to be just fine. Cant say I've SPOTTED any dumb movements from the bad guys yet..... Thats not to say it hasnt happeded...

The gameplay is something totally different... It drifts away from your normal FPS like COD or Battlefield. Im in awe... I know a lot of you are PC gamers and probably wont be as impressed as me... Perhaps because a lot of you have may have played the first Crysis.

So far the only downside is that the game doesnt appear to explain the events of the first story.... I may have to check out youtube for this!

On level 3 now, so far I haven't been that impressed with the graphics like the OP. It's a nice enough game because you can take loads of different approaches but nothing stunning yet.

Got it, just need to get home from shopping now, get the family off to bed early, and get a go tonight hopefully.

Every copy I saw appeared to be the 'Limited' edition, didn't see a single standard copy!

one of the better FPS I have played on a console so far, quite far through campaign mode as well. the single player is frustrating, Call of Duty style at times but other than that its solid. the graphics are probably one of the best on a console, just the scale of things seems impressive, sure its not quite up to the standard of the PC but its well above things like Call of Duty games. overall I think its a great game, doesn't deserve half of the abuse I see people giving it, even so called 'reviewers' who obviously don't know anything about gaming, especially some of the faults they pick. the AI is indeed dodgy at times, however when the AI works properly the alien enemies are brutal as hell, especially those big guys who don't seem to have any notable weaknesses. the game is totally worth purchasing if your a FPS fan and science fiction fan, also ties into the story of the first game in places, granted not as much as I would have liked personally but enough so its still 'relevant'. ;)

I am getting into this now that I've played it a bit more. One thing I can't seem to find out, how do I upgrade my suit? :p

You collect nanotech from dead squid aliens. Then hold BACK and choose what you want to spend it on. I couldn't work out how you get it though. I shot three aliens and didn't get any and then meleed one from behind and got 100. So perhaps you only get it from melee kills?

Crytek arent very good at telling stories are they?

lol What are these aliens?

Where have them come from?

Whats the story behind the nano suits?
