You lot have to remember that the demo is a DEMO - i expect the full version to be a better, and even if it isn't i'd still be happy.

There isnt much of a difference. I have glasses thank you. Saying theres a huge change in difference and C2 is a huge leap backwards is just dumb. Its just people jumping to conclusions and as usual many people jumping on the bandwagon of hating something without even trying it or giving it a shot. Hell its not even out yet and allweve got is a demo that is likely to not be the full detail of the game and might just be the console one cloned. So many pople with the 'I cant create an account (many others have, took me 2 minutes to do yesterday afternoon) so game is rubbish'. Its just people over reacting and believing the hype so they can moan about it as with all big releases.

Nobody can say those screenshots are remotely similar in quality. The textures in the original simply blow the new ones away. Crysis 2 atm seems to rely on bloom and bizzare specular lighting effects to look pretty, but it doesn't look remotely realistic.

Just played the demo and seem to be playing with pro's. Instant kill. They can lock on to me from a mile a way.

I hate games.

and I hate how games these days have so limited amount of graphic options. All you can in this demo is change the res. So lame.

You seem to be missing the point.It is depressing that we are even disputing this! Crysis 2 should look vastly better than it's 4 year old predeccesor!

Just a funny note.... the mycrysis website... when you're trying to create an account the "create account" button doesn't work if you try to click it... with a mouse... you have to hit Enter. like a frickin console pad.

At the end of the day after Far Cry1 Crytek have a history of misleading PC gamers & to me not including DX11 at launch is a way of saying the console market is our focus (I know they leaked it most likely deliberately to get some free QA).

Patching DX11 later but only for people who bought the game sounds reasonable to me as the level of pirating that goes on the PC is shocking so why should devs bother catering to that its down to PC gamers to buy the games so they get continued high end support not the other way around! We need them they do not need us at all

Bet Nvidia are very happy as they put £5m into this game.......

This guy says that aimassist/autoaim/derpaderpassist is only for people with pads. So I have no idea why it's included in the PC demo other than laziness or poor QC on their part. Either way doesn't sound like it's actually present on PC, or it won't be in the final release.

to be honest i've played a fair few matches and never noticed any aim assist at all. i think it might be for people hooked up with a 360 controller.

Well i was perfectly happy with the demo so probably go and order one for release.

I guess I have been lucky, had no issues creating acounts, logging in or getting onto the servers. Apart from the obvious well discussed issues, I actually quite enjoyed playing it once I had got my head around the extra suit controls.

It would have been simple to change that option label to 'Gamepad aim assist' to avoid confusion. As well as replacing 'Press Start' to 'Click to Start' or similar.

Getting crap FPS on a 5970, on the max visual settings it's hovering between 40-80 FPS, the 40 feels horrible even with the motion blur.

[EDIT]I am getting 40+ on a overclocked 5850 and it feels fine for me. Also a good pointer that the engine can take a good overclock if my few games were anything to go by.
