Crysis 2 is another console port, no DX11!!!!

I've played the latter stages of Crysis at 15fps, still playable. I think I just must be better at compensating for it than you.

That maybe, and maybe you aren't obsessed with that irritating program called "fraps". I swear people have that running while playing through some of their new games.

I simply expect PC games to be PC games, not consolised crap mostly thanks to EA.

you already started a thread a while ago saying how you loved metro 2033 but hated it because it uses shotguns if you don't like FPS then don't ******* play them simple as that.

your just a troll to be honest pick your moments to jump in with useless posts, you've already disrespected me once this week in the command and conquer thread and there was no need for it.

Christ, I said it's running at 40 because when I 1st played it it seemed to chug. Put on FRAPS the next time round and it was at 40, unacceptable on an 'optimized' Cryengine 3 with a XFX 5970 BE. No idea how some of you can play games at 15FPS to be fair, must be like a slide show on your appalling machines.

By the way, feel free to read the third post in this thread:

Ok, thats true. I wouldnt have bought it anyway, not my kind of game.

But just about every game these days is a console port :(

Wah wah waaaaaah? Need a bottle and a tissue for your eyes?

As long as they've created a game with a good story and exciting gameplay I don't really care which version of DX it uses.

Gameplay > graphics

Edit: ^ Interesting post count sunlitsix! 8888 :D

same here.

5970 @ 2560x1600... hardcore makes it feel slow and laggy, advanceed adds 2-3 fps but feels much better

Slide shows are usually a slide probably every 30 seconds. 15fps is 450 times faster :) I guess not all of us can afford 5970's and not all of us are as fussy as you. When I play a game its for the gameplay and storyline, not the fps.

Yet people still go into fits of rage at the suggestion PC Gaming is dying on its ass....

Well, we still have the Sims, WoW, Guild Wars, and the MMO / FTP markets keeping it alive.

Also indie games like Magicka and Mine Craft are doing really well at the moment.

The PC market is actually more profitable than consoles, but only if the game is good and people want to buy it.

Maybe thats why they make games for consoles instead and then port them over, because they cant make them good enough for the PC in the first place?

Lets wait and see how well The Witcher 2 does with its PC only release :)

Anno 1404 is a current absolutely brilliant PC game, but its so seriously under rated and has hardly any marketing.

Also lots of game developers were doing absolutely fine on the PC, they had solid sales and were making enough profit. Then EA buys them out and demands that they release their games on consoles as well, and thats when the dumbing down happens.

It won't even let me ******* log on! I type in my gamespy username and password (the same one that I can use to successfully log on to the site) and it does nothing except remain on the log in screen :(
