Crysis 3 CONFIRMED!

Imo, I thought Crysis 2 was a good game for what it was, shame about parts of it being clear cut console ports but on the whole it was an alright game. People just seem to jump on the bandwagon because trolley wheels were hexagons and controls were slightly off. Poor reason to call a game poor.

People never focused on the good aspects of the game and preferred to look at the worst side, but I do hope that this one gets rid of the aliens.

Indeed, and was fairly fun. I think that people think that anything with dodgy controls and was on console as well is a console port nowadays - it's stupid to think that Crysis 2 was a console port considering the freedom and support that was there for PC.
 
Crysis 3 on Xbox 360!!? :confused::(

I thought that there was speculation by some websites that Crysis3 won't be released until next gen consoles.

The fact that it's going to be released on current consoles would make it pretty much like Crysis2 with may be few tweaks.

(Or optimistically speaking, it is a true PC game utilising full power of CryEngine3 with efficient tesselation design and full DX11. So this will be another Crysis1 being ported to consoles as a cut down version. yeah right!!;))

Why not use the cry engine 3? It's fairly new and has lots of potential. Why would they use a new engine?

Its called 'potential'. Why do people complain about a 'decent' game? Because its a steaming turd compared to what it could have been if they'd actually put any effort into it. Mass Effect 3 is a perfect example in my eyes and I imagine a lot of people feel that way about Crysis 2.

If they'd put effort into Crysis 2, people would have done exactly the same as they did with the first game and complain the aliens ruined it. This way, they learnt how to make the third better and tried to use a formula they believed worked.

TBH, I think the best apart about Crysis 2 was the soundtrack, Hans Zimmer :p

They will use a new engine I reckon. The Crysis games are used as tech demo's first and foremost to sell the engine.

Crysis - Cryengine 2

Crysis 2 - Cryengine 3

It makes sense for them to continue the pattern.

I believe Cryengine3 is a formidabble engine if it's used to it's maximum potential

Yeah hence you can see building in the background with a protruding tree next to the building. So combination of urban and 'jungle'. Unless they mean 'urban jungle' where destroyed buildings everywhere make for a nice concrete jungle lol
