Crysis 2 was worth a play through. It just got slaughtered by the PC eliteists for being a console port. Decent enough I thought.

)i mean its their baby, they update the engine, theyll update the game. one big tech demo for the engine. Get more licenses sold.
I thought Crysis 2 was pretty good, but it did need to be modded to bring it up to the standard of the first. If they do Crysis 3 on the cry engine 3 I'll probably give it a miss, but if it's on Cry engine 4 I'll probably check it out.

Its called 'potential'. Why do people complain about a 'decent' game? Because its a steaming turd compared to what it could have been if they'd actually put any effort into it. Mass Effect 3 is a perfect example in my eyes and I imagine a lot of people feel that way about Crysis 2.

Why not use the cry engine 3? It's fairly new and has lots of potential. Why would they use a new engine?
They will use a new engine I reckon. The Crysis games are used as tech demo's first and foremost to sell the engine.
Crysis - Cryengine 2
Crysis 2 - Cryengine 3
It makes sense for them to continue the pattern.
I believe Cryengine3 is a formidabble engine if it's used to it's maximum potential
According to further leaks around the web, Crysis 3 will be released for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360, and is currently pencilled in for a spring 2013 launch. Apparently, it’ll take place in New York again, which has now become “almost a jungle” following the events of Crysis 2.
Still haven't played the second one.
^ So it will be a corridor shooter again. Crysis 2 was so meh for me, I loved Crysis and Warhead to a lesser degree
