3770K is only slightly faster than the 3570k.

Looks to me like it doesn't support HT and the slightly higher clock speed has put it ahead.

Mmmmm, small sample to make that statement maybe? ... http://pclab.pl/art52489-9.html

Erm, nope.

And thanks for posting more evidence of the statement I made. :)

10% is not slightly and worthy of some attention, what could be responsible for that difference? But then again use of words such as slightly allow wriggle room where definition of that is a matter of opinion and you are entitled to yours!

Now, whether 10% is noticible is another matter of course ... !

with my rig : having been playing around for some time and reading the threads here

@ 1440p I have settled on running everything very high - no motion blur and no v-sync ( using NVidia inspector to limit to 60 FPS) and adaptive v-sync in nvidia panel

using no AA - at 1440p I really cant see any jaggies - switching FXAA takes a slight hit and I prefer a smoother FPS

textures very high and its running very smooth ( buttery) and really enjoying the game .

From Reading as well nice

DXGI ERROR DEVICE REMOVED

Keep getting this now, was fine before :S

7950 ..

same here
but it only happens when my gpu is overclocked.when i down clock it,it runs perfect
msi 560 ti twin frozer 2gb
it plays all games great on 970core,but with crysis 3 i have to knock it down to the default setting @ 880 core.which still runs on HIGH and texture pack on very high.just abit annoying when i have to change to default profile:D to play it

Just ran a couple of benches using fraps for a minute from when the doors open to the jungle to the cut scene with the view and turret towers.
On the dell 27" 1440p using 2x680s latest drivers and using EVGA PX
PT132%
GPU +175mhz
MEM +250mhz
Resulting in a 1307mhz on card 1 and 1127mhz on card 2

Vsync on
MSAAx4 Min 36 Max 61 Avg 50.783
MSAAx2 Min 56 Max 56 Avg 56
FXAA Min 52 Max 62 Avg 59.533
1xSMAA Low Min 53 Max 62 Avg 59.833
Didnt bother using the others the TXAA drop was around 37fps and lower sometimes.
The in game settings where from the geforce experience program.

AF 16x
AA= different ones used. it suggested 1x SMAA Low
FS= Yes
Game effects= Very high
Objects= Medium
Particles= very high
Postprocessing= high
shading= high
Shadows= medium
Texture res= very high
water= very high

These setting work very well at 1440p. Medium object detail does take some of the 'padding' out of trees and things but it still looks very good

With no AA or vsync I manage about 45fps average on my gtx 670. I would have thought with 2 x 680s you would be able to play at 1440p everything maxed, no AA at about 60fps :confused:

Yeah, the GeForce Experience software told me to run SMAAx1 and three settings on medium, i told it to do-one and put them to high and it seemed okay. I think the GeForce Experience adjusts your settings in order to get close to 60fps, which is what i was close to if i used the settings it suggested, but 30fps+ is good enough for me.

My card can run the game on high at 45-60 FPS (V-Sync on) for the most part

My EVGA GTX 670 Reference model card is hitting a peak of 75/76 degrees. I was playing like that for an hour or so, before going to bed. Is that a safe temp to game at?

Knocking it down to normal i get temps of around 68-70 degrees, which is a little better, im just worried about my temps is all.

Temps are still hitting 74/75 with v sync off, fps hitting 100, card must be meltingg!

Guess the stock cooler on my 670 is just insufficient \: is gaming at these temps safe?

My 660 doesn't go above 60c, but i have a 200mm side-fan directly blowing on it, plus i don't have reference cooling on my 660.

78 degrees is fine as long as your fan is running :)

As for GFE settings. It aims for what Nvidia deem playable settings. In their eyes that's anything above 30fps. This generally results in the app targeting 40 odd fps.

Hopefully in the future they add a 'target frame-rate' slider for the folks who want 60/120 and so on.

Its fine. Keep it below 70c or kelper boost will decrease clock by 13mhz

Custom fan curve to 60c-65% 65c-70% 70c-75%

My overclocked 670 reaches higher than FTW edition clocks (and benches at higher than 680 speed) and has never gone over 69c
