Crysis Demo

thing is from the videos iv seen of crysis so far its understandable to assume it needs high requirements, its graphics far exceed anything else thats available or even will be available for 1 year after the release of crysis.

I'm just hoping my 7950GX2 will cope with 1600x900 without AA and maybe reduced detail somewhat. Not upgrading until the 8800GTX successor is out. (whenever that is)

Do you also know next week's lottery numbers? I'd consider it a favour if you do. :D

Well if everything goes according to plan I get an 8800GTS 640mb next week...so hopefully with the rest of my specs I won't have a problem running it at 1440x900 with the majority of the eye-candy on?

im just saying what the guys at crytek have said, although they said that 2 years after crysis will game come out that look better., its believable since farcry came out in 2004 and only last year did games come out that beat it in the graphics department, but some would still argue that farcry is better looking, the 64bit content really breathed new life into the graphics engine.

I agree. Although all rumours state that Crysis scales well and I am sure it will, you only have to remind yourself about Fry Cry when it came out.

It did indeed look amazing on my X800XT but I couldn't run it at full eye candy/high res and that was three years ago.

I am sure Crysis will be the same. Even now a GTX will only just run Fry Cry at high res/ max settings/details so I would imagine that Crysis will be the same. It will look drop dead gorgeous, even to x1800xt owners but you will have to wait a few years to play on max at high res.

The 8800GTX will play it at high on the memu. But the games engine will probally be thinking its on medium/low. It will take a while to max crysis.

Didn't the 320MB GTS suffer in Bioshock DX10 due to memory maxing out?

Well it doesn't with me. It is slower than a 640Mb GTS but it isn't crippled. The only thing I have come across so far where the 320Mb card suffers is Stalker if you try and put everything on high/ultra.

This has what to do with how good a game looks compared to other games?

Sorry. it's me I can't read properly.

I thought the other poster said it was only last year that graphics cards came out which could beat Fry Cry, not games.

Must read twice before posting :D
